Each season is 104 episodes(S1 = Episodes 1-104, S2 = 105-208...).

Real quick thing:
In the Crapshot navbar, the "Watch this on Alex's Youtube Channel" is to link to the ORIGINAL Crapshots that were posted on Alex's "Crapshotvideo" channel, now just named "Alex Steacy." This will only be there for the first 104 Crapshots.
This isn't for a second superfluous link to the reposted Crapshots on the main LRR Youtube channel.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
If all of the first season of Crapshots are on the LRR channel, are links to Alex's channel needed?
We are all made of star dust. However we are also made of nuclear waste.

It's mostly just so you can see when they were first posted and how many hits they got at the time.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
I should probably mention this. For the Feed Dump screenshots, we shouldn't use the one with the logo in it. They should just be a shot from the episode.
Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
Some ideas for Graham's (and perhaps also Paul's) filmographies as that they are getting to a size to frequently time out the server when editing them.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
For things like Unskippable and CheckPoint, the page can just say "Graham has been in every CheckPoint except X." or "Graham writes every episode of Unskippable." For things where he's been in a LOT of them, it should just be a link to the page of all the appearances.
But that raises the question: how should filmographies be broken up anyway?
I don't necessarily think the "latest ten" thing is useful, but I could be persuaded.
Sorry I didn't update the Featured Article. At this point, I'm as likely to leave it throguh March and try to get something else done while I have the wherewithal.

For Unskippable I agree. The "latest ten" was more of a filler (though I realise how contradicting that was now that I said it...).
Is there a way to smw-ask for a not-condition? Otherwise we'll be back to manually updating it. It also raises the question what to qualify as "appearances" as Kathleen has been absent from the last few episodes and Paul is never seen on screen nowadays but we know he's there, but they are both in the credits as "performed by".

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
Maybe there could be a threshold where, if an Ask command has more than 50 replies, it breaks it up. For the main ten or eleven cast members, maybe their filmography could be a bunch of sub-pages by default.
I don't know the Semantic stuff very well, so I don't think I'll be able to help with the implementation.

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
Here's a question: If we put all of Graham's acting appearances on a single page, separating out the other categories, would that be too big?

Not quite sure what you mean... feel free to edit my sandbox to demonstrate

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
I don't know exactly how to put it in the code, but we have a page that's extracting all the Appearances of Graham ONLY in Weekly Update videos.
Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
For now I've lowered the limit of each series to 50. That should take some load of the longer ones (Unsk=326, CPt=220 and Crapshots=327 so far). Temporary solution only...

Re: The YRR of LRR is over, but the WIKI still needs your he
Just a heads up; I'm changing some names in the video pages as their filmographies are complete messes.
Beej, alternating between 'Brendan Dery' and 'Brendan "Beej" Dery' is now 'Brendan "Beej" Dery'.
Andy, alternating between 'Andy Cownden' and 'Andrew Cownden' is now 'Andrew Cownden'.
Ashley Turner and Felix Kramer are dependant on when the video was recorded, though this still leaves shows like LT and FN looking like EFF...may change that in the future.

I believe the standard at Wikipedia is to consistently use whatever name they currently go by, which is a reasonable approach to take here for consistency's sake.

Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the first two seasons were 100 Crapshots each, so if it were me I'd continue doing that.

Is it time we gave Penelope her own cast page?

At least in the case of Felix, I asked them when this came up, and they are fine with the former credits, like the Feed Dump references, as "Maya."
I think I need to change Cherrise's name back, actually. I'm almost certain she's not with Marc Watson anymore.
Also, totally. Let's give Penelope her own page.

Season 1 of Crapshots was definitely 104 episodes. 52 weeks x twice a week = 104 episodes. Also, Alex's YouTube channel has 104 episodes before the Crapshots hiatus went into effect.marathemara wrote:I'm pretty sure the first two seasons were 100 Crapshots each, so if it were me I'd continue doing that.MrL wrote:I've just begun making a "real" (read: standardised) list of Crapshots but I don't know where one season ends and another begins so a that column is blank for someone to fill in.

ChrisWolvie, let's not use the pictures from the website for Feed Dump that have the Feed Dump logo in it. If you don't want or can't rip pictures from the videos themselves, that's fine. But the more we have like that, the more someone has to replace later.

Here be a style question: the quotes below the pictures for Feed Dump... should they be in quotes? When i did the one for The Ghost of Sexual Relations Past, I put it in quotes. Is that necessary?

Anyone still reading this? Should we think about some other way for editors to talk about what we're up to, like a Google Docs situation or something?

You know what would be sweet? Bulk image upload, but I don't know if that wouldn't somehow stress the wiki even more.

I'm still reading this, although I'm pretty busy. I think this thread is probably fine, although other people might think differently.
BTW, anyone mind if I rename Formal Complaint to A Formal Complaint?

Well, it's the name of the YouTube upload, although having checked(Literally just now), it's just "Formal Complaint" on the site... At the very least "A Formal Complaint" should redirect, but I'm not really sure which one is more official.
