Desert Bus for Hope: The Documentary
Re: Desert Bus for Hope: The Documentary
Not much further to go! I was out of Canadian Geese, but did have a few bucks. Antlers kept poking holes in the envelope

And it is funded with nine days to go! Good work everyone.

What happened today? They'd been averaging 20 backers a day, and then got 300+ in a very short time. Not that I'm complaining, mind, I'm just curious. I'd say it was the teaser, but there was a day or so lag between that and the new backers.

Combination of the teaser coming out, starting the last stretch of the kickstarter, and being close to the goal so people want to kick in to push it over.
Once the fundraising gets some momentum again (and blasted all over social media), you get a huge spike - which will probably quickly taper off now until the last couple days where it will spike a bit again.

The Youtube update probably also helped. There's a whole bunch of LRR fans who only follow them on Youtube.

I'm personally still waiting to see the shirts 'cuz I really want to know if I want one. Either way I'm backing, it just remains to be seen for what amount.

Finally backed at poster tier. I really wanted all of the things. But I can't really afford it at the moment. Still, I've been collecting DB Posters since they started making them publicly available. I wasn't gonna stop now. Looking forward to seeing the documentary.
Also, can I just say that the budget breakdown is a very nice addition. It's nice to know exactly where the money is going. I wish more kickstarters would do that.

And it is officially funded. 129 412 CAD from 1956 backers.

Fyi, if you are in the US, make sure your card will accept an international transaction. My bank rejected this on all cards until I called them because it was in CAD.

RoboNixon, I'll be getting in touch with my credit union IN PERSON Tuesday because mine got rejected as well. It couldn't have my daily limit at I had another transaction go through OK (needed to reload my workplace store wallet for my lunchtime drink).
I'm think it's more of the combination of unusually large amount from Kickstarter (as most of my transactions there are under $50) & foreign currency. The odd thing is they let another foreign transaction went through in 2013, but was only $25 CAN.
Supplemental (05.24.2016): Got mine cleared up w/ the credit union as it was flagged by their fraud team due to being an international transaction. A few minutes talking to the credit union staff cleared things up & got things taken care of.
Just a reminder for everybody: CONTACT YOUR CARD ISSUER FOR AN INTERNATIONAL ALLOWANCE here. Generally give them a timeframe on when the transaction will be made (usually a day or two) & the rough figure (estimate high for currency conversions) so they know what's going on.
