Arrested Development? Matt Groening? Mormons?
But, yeah, I realised they were Canadian by the second video.
Matt Groening is Canadian.
NO, HE'S NOT! Matt Groening is from Portland, Oregon. STOP CLAIMING OUR SHIT, CANADA! Groening is ours! So is Edison!

Who bought the patent for the light bulb from a Canadian.
Not saying he didn't perfect the thing, but the Canuck laid the groundwork.
True. At least you got that right. I've had three people tell me that Edison was Canadian, which I suspect was because they heard the lightbulb story, and then connected Edison with the invention. Woodward made a kind of light-up rod, and Edison perfected the invention and made it an easily recreatible bulb.
For the record, regarding the Tribute To Canada from season 1 (I had a LRR DVD marathon yesterday to get my mind off my ass-hat boss. Good stuff.), and the pacemaker was invented in Australia by Dr Mark C Lidwell, and Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland, and lived in America when he invented the phone, lived most of his life, and eventually died. He only spent one year of his life in Canada.

Yeah, we freely admit to getting a couple things wrong in that Season 1 video.
Graham-Bell, yeah he's Scottish. At the time we though he had dual citizenship. Although if you read his Wikipedia entry, he spent way more than a year in Canada, and most of the work done on the telephone was split between his Boston lab and his Nova Scotia retreat. So... well it's something anyway.
