Three Movies for the lonely island

Postby browncoat » 04 Oct 2007, 16:55

(Well I hope I got this right... english isn't my first language ^^)

Sooo... if you could choose three (3) movies to bring with you to an island on which you'd have a TV and a DVD-player (and as much electricity as you'd like ^^) but no-one to talk to, no means of communication and no idea when (or if) someone comes to your rescue, which movies would you choose?

(I also hope there hasn't been a thread like this before... though I guess there's been a AskLRR about it.)

For me it's:
- Serenity
- Tonari no Totoro
- Love actually

I LOVE these movies.
I'll miss Lord of the Rings, but it'd be one of my three books (and also it would take all three movies, and man can't live on Lord of the Rings alone ^^).
Can't take the sky from me. Again.

1.) O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Q.) Stranger Than Fiction
!.) V for Vendetta

Well.

That was easy.

In reality, I don't think I could live with only three movies. I don't think I could live with anything less than a couple dozen, really.

And man, now I really want to watch Love Actually!

OH WAIT I CAN MY DVD PLAYER GOT FIXED

WOOOOOOOOOO

I need to rewatch and reread LOTR. Haven't in a couple of years probably now.

I refuse to choose personally, because I think I would go NUTS with just three movies. I would probably like, end up being so frustrated with it that I would just throw my TV and DVD player into the ocean and start dancing around and screaming.

I'd end up caliing my tv "Wilson" and any time I talked to him, his response would be "Yippie Kie Yay, Motherfucker."

Before I clicked, I thought the thread title was referring to The Lonely Island, the comedy troupe which includes Andy Samberg.

Anyway, I guess I would bring an instructional video on how to build a raft and oars out of palm trees and sand.
