Portal

Postby Cake » 19 Oct 2007, 13:01

So I just started Portal about an hour ago. The crew was right, it pretty much is amazing. Is it just me, or did anyone else shoot the camera off the walls? And is it just me, or did anyone else create a portal you can fall through forever?

Yes. You do know there's achievements for doing both of those things

Eesh man that's harsh, sorry about that. I mean I don't know what I'd do if I was a lie. I wouldn't know where to begin, or even exist for that matter.

Regardless, I laughed so hard at the credits, for those who haven't beat it I won't say anymore, but you have NO EXCUSE!!!

This was a triumph!
I'm making a note here:
HUGE SUCCESS.

Portal was great. On to playing HL2 and joining the early 21st century!

Also, Gabe Newell has said that Valve will be making Weighted Companion Cube desktop toys available "before Christmas." I need to get me one of them.

Why is it that every time I see "The Cake is a Lie" I keep thinking Lacuna Coil?

Hey! Your avatar is from Zero Punctuation! How'd I ever miss that, those little video reviews are great.

I kind of want the graphic for a huge sign: Caution, Big Daddy will kick you in the nuts.

That "Still Alive" song is insidiously catchy. Mebbe I really will learn to play guitar.

I love sitting there listening to the computer.

"Remember that one time I was lowering you into the fire and you were like 'no way' and I pretended I was going to murder you? Good times."

"I won't kill you. You don't believe me? Have I lied to you... in this room?"
I can't think of a signature.

Pity that Weebl spends all his time making crappy stuff like the king of toast on the moon and whatnot, instead of making more Weebl and Bob.

Catface is pretty funny sometimes, but yeah, Weebl and Bob is a whole lot better. Weebl and the Weighted Companion Cube was a nice interlude.

The subject is out to lunch

Postby Zombaholic » 27 Oct 2007, 16:12

It was very interesting, one of the best games I have played in a very long time. Puzzles were very interesting I I hope there is another iteration (Developers commentary says maybe). I love the turrets, they don't hate me

I know me too, I was almost sad when I threw one into the disintegration field and hearing it's monatonic scream, but then I laughed it off.

website wrote:. I found the best way to
make it was to print it out on a sheet of A4 card

stare at the print out before you go to bed and
you can dream that you made it and wake up
feeling happy and refreshed.

wtf?
