Code: Select all

You said I had you once,
now you're never coming back.
But I can prove to you
that you just can't leave me flat.

I've got 2000 games.
They don't compare to you.
Unlike them I'll finish you
before I get something new.

I love you.
Don't you see
that if you come back
I'll be your final fantasy?
I need you like oxygen.

So won't you come dance in my pinata pen?

I'll be your Princess Peach.
You'll be my Mario.
And at the end of the level,
you'll slide down my flag pole.
And like the master chief I'll get you from behind.
Although my sword is factory sealed I'll break it out for you tonight.

I love you.
Don't you see
that if you come back
I'll be your final fantasy?
I need you like gamer fuel.
And if we crackdown I've got some secret orbs for you.

I've been living two half lives without you.
And my heart is full of coffee thats hot for you.
You don't have to choose between naked and solid,
'cuz my snake is the big boss.
And he knows what he's gotta do.

I love you.
Can't you see
that if you come back
I'll be your final fantasy?
I need you like I need to bathe
And if you hold me close, I'll pierce your lock with my keyblade.

I love you.
don't you see that if you come back,
I'll let you waggle with my Wii
I need you - please don't say no,
'cuz if you come over, we'll play some Nintendo.

I like the princess peach verse, that was great.
Last verse... not so much.

Also that distortion on the voice was annoying.

Ok people why are you complaining about those adds? All you have to do is close them and they are gone, it's a translucent bar so even if you are too lazy to move and click a mouse you're not really missing anything and if you don't like the idea of the guys making a little extra money at virtually no expense to you then please overthrow your various Capitalist governments and the problem should rectify themselves.

You'd think they put pop-ups or flashing banner ads on the Homepage for goodness sakes

Also the video was funny, with just the right amount of wit to make you laugh and not have the jokes become repeating and stale

When the ad came up I read through it twice trying to figure out the joke before I realized it was a real ad and not just a part of the video. Other than that initial confusion (which is entirely my fault) I have no problem with that ad, could be a lot worse.

As for the song it was funny if a bit flat sounding so can't get to excited about it unfortunately. I wouldn't call it sweet though, I can not see anything with that many innuendos as sweet. Good work though.

Now I know why Matt's game collection & organization received so much discussion in the last video podcast. Nice use of it.

Tho' I'm a strong opponent of obtrusive ads, these are not quite as bad as the previous set, which caught me unawares. That was the same weekend I had opportunity to share LRR for the first time with a bunch of my friends from Anime Club. Tho' they loved the videos the crowd became increasingly aggressive toward Old Spice.

There might be better reaction if the ads were LRR related, or at least geared toward fan's interest. Notices of new products/DVDs &c. Or even general gaming & geekery stuff. Then I might actually read them instead of hovering my mouse cursor over where the close button appears.

Still looking forward to the Season 4 DVDs.

They don't choose the topics. They say yeah, you can advertise on the video, and Revver chooses what they want.

I only brought up the ad because it actually covered some of the video. I have no problem with advertising whatsoever, I just really don't understand why it is acceptable now to completely cover something with an ad.

It's like when you go to a website and one of those weird popups that are actually on the same page come up, and you have to find the minuscule 'x' in the bottom corner so you can actually see the page again. The worst I ever saw of this was one where it came up after about 3 seconds, and the 'x' was on top of the 'next page' button, so every time I tried to close it, it would go to the next page!

Obviously the ad in this video wasn't that bad, but still.

Okay, now that we have beaten it to death, I am declaring a citizen's Moratorium on the Ads. If it's not about the song, the video, or Jer's performance, then don't post it.

The ads are there so that the guys can earn a little more reveue since people don't seem to remember there is a store with a bunch of kickass t-shirts and dvd box sets that cost only 70 bucks plus shipping. when they test out ad formats, it's okay to whine, but keep it out of the video thread, and put it into the General Discussion.

/douchetool

I gotta admit, Jer's face when he smells himself may be the best expression I ever saw. It was as if the smell blinded him in one eye and he was going to throw up through his nose, while being only slightly disgusted with his mouth.

How do you guys afford all those games? 2000 games x 40$ each average = 80,000$ in games.

That doesn't include consoles, extra remotes, memory cards, and cost of living.

Does the average fanboy really have 100,000USD laying around for video games?

I only have about 300 games, actually. average price probably closer to 50-60$. but those were collected over a period of 15 years.

I've gotta say that's the reason I never got into gaming. We got a SNES (the only console I've ever owned) after the 64 came out. For the most part I played games on PC, but never really that many.
Games are expensive!

I guess I chose to live out my nerdiness in other, cheaper ways.

$50x300=$15,000
Divided by 15 is $1000.
You've spent an average of at least $1000 a year on games.

Now divide that by 52.
That's a little under $20 a week. Doesnt seem quite as bad.

But that's not counting consoles and miscellaneous equipment and expenses.

That'd be pretty cool.

I thought the audio on my computer was going buggy.

Cool video though. Loved the Final Fantasy stuff.

I thought that the sound effect was on purpose until Graham talked about it. I thought they were just semi-parodying all of the bad versions of songs that people have done on youtube or something. In any case, great video, love the song, and I don't mind the ads if they make the crew some money.

That was sort of the idea, for it to be a send-up pop song. But it seems that doesn't really come across, and the flange is just distracting.

I totally didn't even think of that.

It sort of makes sense when you think of it that way though... =)
