Some real fucked up movies.

Postby Lavos » 02 Jan 2008, 02:04

Have you seen a movie that was so fucked up you were like "damn."?

Well, I have over the past 4 hours.
First was War with Jet Li, I mean the ending was kind of fucked. I don't want to give away any spoilers but the twist was really fucking confusing.

And a few minutes ago I finished pans labrinth. That is one fucked up movie. I thought it was a kiddie movie, but theres so much violence and fucked up shit in that.

Any of you guys have any other movies that you have watched that is fucked?

If you went into Pan's Labyrinth expecting a kiddie movie then that would be one awesome shock

There's another movie coming about by the same guy, apparently called the Orphanage, or something. Haven't heard much, haven't looked into it.

When I watched Transformers I was like "Damn, what's with all this romantic understory and lack of constant giant robot fighting"

Seriously though, were they trying to make it a date movie or something... Why can't Beasties still be on the air

Pans labyrinth was a gigantic shock.
I kind of lost interest after the captain beat that farmers face in though, like what the hell.

I think it would have been better if you had had some little kid you were supposed to entertain so you got that movie to watch with them.

That would make for some awkward torture scenes

That would have been real awkward.
I'd just be crawling out the door.

I was watching it with a few friends. There was almost a child pr0n scene, thats interesting...

Anyways, that movie is kind of screwed up. I mean, I can't even put it into words. Jesus, this is going to make my brainasplode.

Hard Candy had some real 'that's fucked up' moments.

It's my favorite movie when it comes to psychological thrillers and revenge movies.

I thought some parts of The Mist made my brain go "what the EFF?!", but then again I'm new to Stephen King.

Donnie Darko was my first "fucked up" movie, but mostly because I just didn't understand it.

Other than that, I haven't been shocked by any other movies lately.

How so? The part where the heroine is mistaken for cocaine?

I thought Pan's Labyrinth was going to be a kid's movie. Not only was I shocked, but there was a Mom sitting beside my friends and I with three kids who ALSO was under that impression, and within a few minutes had to take her mound of offspring out of the theatre.

Brainfuck movies would be more along the lines of "Waking Life", and maybe "Matchstick Men"? I like con movies especially when they totally flip the table cloth on my mind like that.

Pan's Labyrinth was a fantastic movie.

But yes, they probably should not have marketed it as if it was a kids' movie.

I was saved from thinking that by insomnia mixed with late night Ebert and Roper reviews

I'd have to say that Un Chien Andalou is the most fucked up movie I've ever seen, but you have to expect that it'll be fucked up when Dali is involved.

I remember there was a moment while I was watching Waking Life and I just sat back on the couch, thinking "holy shit, am I dead?", or something along those lines.

Matchstick Men was fantastic. Alison Lohman is older than I am, which probably messed with my head more than the story. I think she was around 24 when the movie was made.

Heavy metal, the one with John Candy. Man that was confusing but interesting to say at the least. Animated fairly well though. The opening of the film sets the bar for the rest of it

Pretty much anything done by Roman Polanski. That is one fucked up guy. The only redeemable thing about him is that his movie inspired Tanz der Vampire, which features Total Eclipse of the Heart as a number in the musical.

Yes, I said musical.
