So it turns out that the girl was not actually easily impressed and would indeed not date the guy.

Source: look I read this in the news earlier in the week because I'm in australia and thats just what we do.

ah, also this from the australian daily mail. (I've read it elsewhere but this was at the top of google)

From the story I saw on the news he wasn't even dared to do it, he said that crocodiles were more likely to attack a foreigner than an Australian, and to "prove his point" he got in the water and was immediately mauled. He said that if he had the chance for a do-over, he'd do it again too.
