Crapshot idea/script: The Target
I know the forums aren't used much these days, but I still wanted to get this idea down somewhere. I also can't help but think it's been done before, but still... EXT: A field somewhere A SNIPER surveys the scene with binoculars Through binoculars, the audience sees the TARGET; TARGET is anyone impo...

Crapshots idea: The Parrot
(open in a lab; Paul is here with labcoat and clipboard, along with one African grey parrot) (we came in the middle of something; Paul finishes taking a note, then turns to parrot) Paul (calmly) : Pachyderm. Pachyderm. Pachyderm. Pachyderm. (parrot appears to consider this for a second) Parrot: Pac...

Re: Crossing the Streams
As a CtS game suggestion, if you can get nine people, your Wii U, its gamepad, four Wiimotes, and some combination of four Nunchucks and/or classic controllers together, maybe you can search the eShop for Runbow. I mean, you CAN do it with less than nine players, but, y'know, IF you can get everythi...

Gotta say, I'm glad you played and enjoyed Roundabout. Also, since Roundabout was the first (and to date, sadly only) game I myself have streamed, I'm happy that the two of you started mimicking Georgio's stock "look over shoulder to back seat" pose, as I did the same thing when it came up...

Crapshot Idea: The Safety Video
(entire video is in black and white with a grainy 50s filmstrip filter; film is silent except for narrator, scratchiness, and maybe a 50s-ish safety video soundtrack) (stock footage shots of atomic bomb tests) Narrator: We all know the atomic bomb is very dangerous. It can destroy entire cities in ...

A comment for Graham: I just saw the highlight of you drinking and describing Rock & Rye. As a native of the Detroit area and having grown up on Faygo, I can confidently tell you that nobody in Detroit can really describe that flavor, either. "Red" is as good a description as any. Well...

For the fraud question, the possibility of "job applications" as an answer brought to mind some recruiters who contacted me out of the blue via LinkedIn or whatnot, asking me for a résumé. Said résumé, of course, has contact info on it. Problem is, I got no response from said recruiters af...

Wow. The first Crapshot to fully break the 1-minute barrier (assuming The Dose's 1:01 was a timing mistake). AND the first Crapshot with a proper stinger. Most impressive indeed.

Re: Things on My Stream
I don't know what my exact entry into TMBG's music was, as friends of mine were routinely singing songs from Flood and Lincoln well before I bought any of their albums, but the first actual album of theirs I got was Mink Car, strangely enough. Then I sort of worked backwards to Flood and Then: The E...

Re: Watch + Play
The thing about Trespasser is that it isn't bad due to lack of effort, it's bad due to biting off way, way, way more than it could chew (or the hardware at the time could handle). It tried to completely re-design first-person gaming from scratch, and simply didn't have the resources to pull it off....

Re: Video Games with Video James
Having watched the full replay of the latest Video James, I have to say, for such a simple game, I do like the Geoguessr streams. The collaborative detective work between James and chat makes for interesting watching. I can only imagine the screaming going on when James missed, for instance, the fac...

I'm simply willing myself to believe that the Future Us portion was only partially fabricated and that the majority of it was simply everyone being told not to worry about the paper on the ground as they went through a normal day at the Moonbase.

Re: Watch + Play
Unearthed had... some flaws, but it was surprisingly competent. Like, it was clear they had some decent ideas and talent behind it for a tiny little studio, even if the final product isn't as mind-blowing as they had hoped. A lot of love went into that project, I'd say. Hippocampal, though... okay, ...

Don't worry, they'll easily be able to ramp up from the opening cutscene by fighting space squids with impurityism ratings of immeasurabler, immeasurablest and immeasurablest-plus-one.
And next, Asura hits up the nightlife of every planet in the galaxy in one night, in... ASURA'S LUST!

See, now I want to see an extended Cam and Alex discussion in this manner, but without the interruptions. That is, all of the LRR crew rotating in to provide impressions of Can and Alex on every cut.
Still, a good, if very very silly, sketch!

The way the characters move made me realize...games like to make their characters move around a LOT during conversations. Humans don't move their arms that much when talking! Eh, that depends a lot on the person and the topic, really. Though given the usual topics in video game conversations, yeah,...

That was funny, and creepy, then funny again. The cutscene itself was confusing as heck, did you edit out parts of it, or does it just make absolutely no sense at all? Creepy. yes, but at the very least, from the credits, I can rest assured that it had the hell directed out of it. "Just take o...

Now, I'm not disparaging DX:HR here. I like the cut of this game's jib, and not just because it takes place in what I would say is a passably believable future version of Detroit if the tech and security industries suddenly hit it in a big way (seriously, given those parameters, I could believe that...
