Collision detection led to some very important strategic maneuvers, especially in GvG, when you were trying to prevent the other team from capturing the flag stand so you could get a morale boost and get your res sigs back. In GW2's PvP, there is no bodyblocking, no flag stand, and no morale boosts....

I fully admit that some of this is wishful picking.

There are already penalties for contracts like Luongo's. New Jersey tried to give one to Kovalchuk and got dinged really hard. Luongo's contract, and a few others, got grandfathered in, sort of.

Luongo is worth more than a lot of people think, IMO.

Who do you replace Vigneault with? Craig MacTavish? Marc Crawford?

Yes, there needs to be change, but I don't think you need to blow anything up, and I don't think you need to fire one of the best coaches in the league. Coaching wasn't a problem this season, IMO.

Vigneault isn't going anywhere, not after back-to-back President's Trophy seasons.

Despite all the history, I still think it was too severe. Feels like Torres is being scapegoated a bit.

I would've accepted 10 to 15 games for more easily.

Re: Schneider pulling a Steve Mason (not Chris Mason; he's a different goalie), remember that Mason was just a kid that first year, while Schneider is 25 or 26 and has a couple of years of consistent strong play under his belt.
