Just directed an excellent elementary school chorus concert. The kids sounded great and it's the last really big responsibility for me for the school year. Feels good.

Re: I didnt want to go to LRRCON anyway Prerelease event
Welp my deck got there in the end. I ended up winning the event with it. When I started deckbuilding I nearly went GW instead, but I'm glad I didn't. Re: Character back-story
Ok, I'll bite. Character Name: Daetrin Aurelius Setting: Pathfinder (my GM's custom world from waaaay back) Stats: Pretty good overall in Charisma and Intelligence. He's a dwarven bard using the Archivist alternate class features. Generally a bit grumpy, he'll tell you how to combat better by pointi...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
So let's say I have something out granting me the player Hexproof (like Aegis of the Gods from upcoming Journey Into Nyx) and a planeswalker. Can my opponent cast a direct damage spell targeting the planeswalker if it doesn't specifically mention targeting planeswalkers? As I understand it, you have...

I'll second the suggestion of Psychonauts from Papperslappen a while back, especially if they've never played it before. Such a good game!

Duckay, you had a really good deck. I thought that name sounded familiar.
On a side note, watching the replay now, it's weird seeing my moves from the other side. Weird and kinda cool.

Re: Story time! How did you get into magic?
I came in via Decipher's old Star Wars CCG. I was playing that with some friends, when another friend mentioned this game Magic that he also played. He introduced me to it. This was around Mercadian Masques or Sixth Edition or so. I got into it and played a bit through to Apocalypse. After that, I r...

Today I passed my black belt test, something when I started karate almost 10 years ago that I never thought I'd get to. Not only that but some of the Sensei's had some very nice things to say about my test. So stoked right now.

Re: Describe your last tabletop session
Ok, so I'm playing in a Pathfinder game set in pre-4th Edition Forgotten Realms. The party is myself (gnomish Alchemist), a Goliath Fighter specializing in 2 handed weapons, a healer specialized Oracle, a more social type Rogue and a Dwarven Fighter using improvised weapons. We've been given a task ...

Re: Not Magic: the Gathering: You mean there are other TCGs?
I got started back in the old Decipher Star Wars TCG. Still have my cards around somewhere. I played a bit of casual Battletech (both minis and the card game) and Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon back in the day. Even did a little dabbling in the Babylon 5 TCG. A couple years ago a friend and I picked up L5R d...
