  1. Only one word can sum up this blog update/video post.

    HAAAAH!!!

  2. That wasn’t vegetarian at all!

    Which makes it MANLIER!

    HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  3. Somebody has to point it out, even though it’s obvious. This is so not a vegetarian Man Cooking. It’s not even the most vegetarian Man Cooking, since I’m pretty sure the Swiss Meat Roll had more vegetarian ingredients (buttload of cheese).

  4. I just watched it…Awesome! …However, anyone else feel there was a little something missing from this edition?…..

  5. Video fails to load on the other site.

  6. I thought Man Cooking was one of the ones that was going to still be hosted here at LRR/YouTube? I mean, I don’t particularly care, except that it means my RSS reader doesn’t see it for a good deal longer (Unskippable hasn’t shown up yet either, presumably because neither is in the videos section of this site), I was just wondering.

  7. Why is Man Cooking on the Escapist? So much for the extra stuff staying over here, I guess.

    Comment by TorachiKatashi — February 22, 2010 @ 2:51 pm

  8. I wonder what the guy on the escapist forums who hates seeing you guys play it straight thought of this.

  9. This episode of Man Cooking wasn’t a Bonus Video, so it wasn’t a part of the “extra” stuff that is still here on our site.

If we had done a different video and then put Man Cooking up mid-week, it would have been a Bonus Video, but we wanted to introduce the Escapist audience to the series. So far they’ve definitely liked it.

  10. People stop whinning. LRR is still here. The moon remains fixed in its place in the sky.

Continue you on LRRD videos are great as always.

  11. This video may not have moved the moon, but it put the Chinese on it.

  12. Okay, fair enough–this Man Cooking was the regular weekly. But how about that there RSS feed? Any chance it can be updated a little more closely with the posting of videos when they’re over on the Escapist? I see neither this nor the newest Unskippable has shown up yet. I learned of the Unskippable from a friend who only watches that and not usually the rest of your stuff (so he subscribes to the Unskippable RSS through Escapist), and I discovered the new Man Cooking when I came here wondering why my RSS hadn’t updated yet.

C’mon, guys! You’re impeding my ability to enjoy your free stuff without effort or thought! I irrationally expect better for my $0.00 of hard-earned cash!

  13. It’s worse when, beyond the lack of a worthwhile update RSS feed, there’s an insistence that no discussion occur of those items on the forums here outwith the threads created expressly for that purpose by Matt…which so far has taken between four and eight hours each update. It really slows things down, I don’t particularly want to make post it notes for my thoughts on each episode in the weak hope that I’ll still feel like making them known a few hours later, if I’m lucky enough to be able.

    Comment by Greg D — February 22, 2010 @ 5:41 pm

  14. Indeed why whine when we’re lucky to even have a man cooking…last year was epic too I really liked that one a lot by the way…so much win with Alex co-op cooking!

    Comment by Danielle Pepin — February 22, 2010 @ 6:09 pm

  15. The updating of the feed/the website is entirely dependent on Paul. I, being the first person awake when the video goes up, and not being Paul, do the best I can – that is, I post a discussion thread in the forum, link back to the video, and will be doing a blog post every Monday as well.

The feed will update when it updates.

    Comment by Matt — February 22, 2010 @ 10:36 pm

  16. And Greg, more like routinely 3 hours. It goes up at six local, and I have to update this site manually. I do it every week, as my number 1 priority, but I’m not setting my alarm for 5am every Monday to make sure there’s a discussion thread here the moment it goes up. The site update here is going to hit approximately 9AM.

If you HAVE to discuss it at 6am exactly, there’s a discussion thread on the escapist too.

Otherwise, you’ll have to wait a couple hours.

  17. It could be delegated to someone in a different time zone

  18. the discussion thread that is

i feel daft for having to double post now

  19. Sorry for the delay in RSS updating everyone!

Usually Paul takes care of it, but he and I are both hung up with sickness, so it took longer for us to get to it.

I really don’t know that it’s worth getting upset with us for.
But then, you didn’t know we were sick.

However, I certainly don’t appreciate anyone getting angry that we’re making more Man Cooking.
Certainly it’s offside to be upset that we’re making it as a regular video, rather than a bonus that’s all special just for LRR fans.

If it gets a good enough reaction, it could get picked up as a series, and wouldn’t we all love more Man Cooking?

We have our reasons, chill out.

  20. I lol’d the video and the blog post! I thought the last man cooking wof going to be the “Swiss Meat Roll” ep. what with the morgan and alex double team and all. but still it’s good to see it’s back!

  21. All the Revver-based videos aren’t loading here. They’re just throwing errors.

  25. And yet again the minority of negative opinions are the ones that stand out. [sigh] Its just like school…

So, you’re actually looking for more series on The Escapist? I thought Graham had hit his editing limit? Are there clones involved? Are they telepathic? I watching you, LRR.

I guess I should say I liked the video. HA!

  28. That was amazing, I be an escapist member here, and damn is man cooking ever awesome.

Matt you went up 50 awesome points in my book today, congrats.

Thanks for showing older man cooking episodes for people like me, but could you make the videos work please? Thank you.

    Comment by Asturiel — February 23, 2010 @ 7:52 pm

  29. Yes! More Man Cooking! HAH!!!

So how did it really taste? You didn’t show others eating it.

  30. I would sell relaitves both young, elderly and in between to a legally dubious african diamond mining concern if it meant a continuous series of Morgans’ Mancooking – even a relatively short one.

Well as far as the escapist is concerned Morgan and Alex aren’t official crew members so there is no reason it cant be in one of their names that way LRR can get more series

    MUHAHAHAHA

People moaning need to realise the team do three main vids a week now instead of one normal + bonus we actually get more LRR these days so stop bitching.

    Comment by Ed — February 24, 2010 @ 11:58 am

  32. Well, it is the Internet, and people expect things on the Internet to be fairly instantaneous, even if that’s not a fair assumption on when you realize there are actual humans on the other end.

Couldn’t Paul, like, install Linux on Matt so he can automatically update the RSS while making toast (come to think of it, can’t we just install Linux on the toast?

    Comment by Veritasiness — February 25, 2010 @ 8:07 am

  33. Seriously though, I want to watch my old favorites. If there’s another place they’re at, I want some links 😀

Man Cooking is what I got my brother into LRR with! And the guys that my bf games with all love it, too. On a side note, Morgan wasn’t nearly intense enough this episode. He seemed tired and the crazy felt a bit forced. Still, man cooking is win either way.
