PAX East Saturday & Magic
March 31st, 2011

Posted by Graham

Hey everybody, here’s two more videos from PAX East for your enjoyment.

The first is a recap of Saturday, which as you’ll see, became sort of a “LoadingReadyRun Day” for us, and the second is our Archenemy game against Wizards Community Manager Michael Robles (which we separated into its own video so it’s not a 7 minute video with 4 minutes of MTG in it).

If you’re interested what our decklists are, check out the rest of this article, after the jump.

Here are our decklists for Game, Set and Match:

GAME

Creatures:

  • 4 Pulse Tracker
  • 4 Vampire Lacerator (It hurts you, but it’s a 2/2 for 1B)

  • 4 Dauthi Horror

Spells:

  • 3 Doom Blade
  • 3 Go for the Throat
  • 4 Dark Ritual
  • 4 Hymn to Tourach (Best hand-attack card ever, basically)

Ah, yes. Can’t have a good burn deck without Lightning Bolt and Ball Lightning. Flame Javelin is always welcomed as well. Although yours is done differently to mine, largely because I haven’t heard of most of the cards you use. I looked them up on the Gatherer and I can see why you picked them.

  6. @megacherv – No it is not. Perhaps You’ve Met My Cohort” is a DCI exclusive promo card. You get those for competing and going to special events. I also have a better scheme for next time: http://twitpic.com/4h1rde

  7. Just saying, Mike’s Archenemy deck is fantastically better than mine. Almost went to PAX this year, but unfortunately had too many things going on. Looks like I missed some epic stuff. Oh well, always another time.

  8. @ Grey Jedi. Thanks! After I sent the deck list to Graham I realized that I have a ton of “one-of’s”. So I re-purposed the deck into an even meaner Commander deck! With Nicol Bolas (Elder Dragon, not Planeswalker) as my general!

  9. Eh, I would say Vindicate is better than Swords to Plowshares. But that’s just me 😛
