So the day finally arrived and we got our god damn bus, and good god is it ever fucking awesome. On a side note this is not going to be a potty mouth free blog, there is going to be some rad stuff going on over the next week, and then ever more rad starting on the 23rd. I just don’t think i can make it through all that radness without dropping the F-Bomb every once in a while.
So Graham, Ben, Alex, Matt and Paul all headed up to Cobble Hill Yesterday to acquire our new wheels and get it insured, then drive it back down to Victoria. A big ups to Ashley for the use of her car to get us up to Cobble Hill in the first place. When they finally made it back into town, things got fun. They stopped in at my place first to get me, Ben and Ashley and get some food. Then after that we picked up Bill, went to the Car wash, and not 5 minutes into washing the car Morgan showed up. When Morgan showed up, we officially had everyone but Adam present and in the bus at the same time.
After we got the car washed we headed back to Bills place and chilled there for a bit. Watched the footage Graham shoot while up in Cobble Hill. Footage that is going to be used for a amazing documentary we are shooting over the next 3-4 weeks. So there is something for all to look forward to. After some more dicking around at Bills place we finally decided to make the trip to Canadian Tire and pick up some much need accessories for this Bus. But those douche bags close at 8pm so we were forced to go to Walmart and pick up some stuff that we needed for the bus, and some stuff we don’t really need but was to awesome to say no to. Regardless that is something that you will have to wait for the documentary. So we proceeded to come back and start the official “Pimp our bus out” and we went to town. Its looking pretty good if i may say so myself.
Today we went to A&B sound and picked up a CD Deck (which is being installed on Thursday) and while i was not there, my understanding is Graham and Alex finally got some inside lights working that we could not figure out the other night. And they also gave the inside and good cleaning.
So thats pretty much where we are right now. I took about 150 pictures with my new camera yesterday and some of them turned out great. My ideal goal for this blog is to come to you everyday with a update as to what we got up to and 10-15 pictures. Saving a couple really good ones everyday for the documentary. So without further ado here is a selection of 11 photos taken yesterday.

As for the rest of the week its just a matter of getting everything ready. I suspect i will let this week pass without much change here at the LRR blog, but check back on the weekend and i may get something up.
Cheers
James

Ahaha, that bus looks kickass! (though, the “LRR blue” one would’ve been even more awesome x3)

What is a “standee”?
The structure of the word suggests it means “the recipient of the action of standing”, which is stupid.
Why didn’t they just say “no standing allowed”? Couldn’t they find a stencil ‘i’?

Oh, my, god. That is THE most badass bus in the universe. I think you guys’ll make good use of it.

wouldn’t it be awesome if you had a bus with one of those video recorders? oh the footage that would be on that…. half hilarious… half really boring

more like:
95% boring
2% hilarious
3% incriminating

So are we gonna see pictures of the final pimped out product?
Also, I am wondering how much it would cost to get it painted professionally in the LRR blue with the logo on it.
Comment by Tim — July 20, 2007 @ 12:01 pm
It would probably cost way, way too much.
Although if someone in Victoria both owns a detailing shop and is a fan…
Comment by The Pious Flea — July 20, 2007 @ 1:13 pm
if u know someone who could paint it for free it would only cost how ever much the paint costs… could be from $100 to $500 depending on the quality and variety of color..
