This week’s LoadingReadyRun video is rather dirty, but everything else is probably PG13.
Loading Ready Run: The Birds, The Bees, and the Bears
Unskippable: Darksiders 2
CheckPoint: Trouble Down on the Farm
But let’s not forget last week’s Feed Dump and Loading Time!
Feed Dump: Snug as a Snuggie
Loading Time: The Crazy One Time
Have any questions about the videos? Let me know in the comments!
God, this was the first time i got this immersed in a video you guys have done, i found the acting great (especialy kathleen’s) and the text was in the right spot between the monty phytonian absurdity and the akwardness of reality.
Great work guys, the birds the bees and the bears really brightened up my monday.

I’m sure I’m going to miss the asklrr, so I’ll make my confession here: I don’t really get the title. Is it some sort of realia/cultural thing I’m blanking on?
I am also disturbed by the lack of cat pictures in this update…
Great job on the video, genuinely laughed out loud! ๐

Ilya: “The Birds and the Bees” is a euphemism for “the sex talk”. A “bear”, in S&M parlance, is a large dominant male.

…and a “bear” in LRR parlance is about the most clichรฉd furry creature you could think of and as far as animals go probably has the richest history within LRR canon. ๐
Or, you know, why not over-think it a bit? “The Birds, the Bees and the Bears” is actually a biting social commentary, unmasking how our sprawled out modern society harms the ecological system. Back when large families used to live under a single roof, we made much more balanced use of nature and coexisted better with animals. But nowadays parents even go to the lengths of deliberately alienating their children to drive them out of their homes. In order to live on their own they need a house, so new buildings have to be created in the ever expanding cities. Selfish parents pushing their kids to leave home are directly harming nature and the ecological equilibrium. The title is a well crafted metaphor for all the damage they do: Birds symbolize the threat of air pollution, Bees symbolize endangered species, mass extinction and by proxy the threat of our large monocultures and use of modern chemistry and bears are emblems not only for mammals in general, but also for the woods, the prototypical natural habitat and the danger due to forest decline and logging (for building material for the new houses of the tragically expulsed children).
Just LRR, being their usual hard-hitting self under the disguise of light-hearted comedy. It is a well known fact that virtually ever video of LRR has a very serious political message.
If you think about it hard enough ๐

Uh, nope! The only part of this that you got right was “male.” And maybe “large,” though that’s debatable.
