Our “Pimped” out bus.

So as you all know we have know been in possession of our glorious bus for about a weeks time now. And while i wouldn’t say we went to town on it, we did make some improvements. They are as follows.

  • Added some stuff to the driver seat and surrounding area. We got a new seat cover, steering wheel cover and new pedals for the gas, brake and e-brake.

  • We had a new Sony CD deck installed on Thursday, which you can see in the pictures of the dash. Minus the faceplate, cause i forgot it inside. Also on the dash you will find, Buddy Christ, another power source, fuzzy dice and a vanilla air freshener.

  • Just behind the drivers seat we have installed a laptop tray, which will enable me to blog and Graham to edit. We also installed a mounting bracket for a camera (it’s kinda hard to see but its there attached to the pole)
  • Below the laptop tray we had another power source installed and you will see sitting next to it the power inverter.

  • The cup holder is pretty self explanatory.
  • And last but not least the “blinds”. Me and Ben spent 3 hours on Thursday cutting and installing those things on every passenger seat window and the back window as well.

So that is the extent of our “Pimping”, a great deal of it was caught on camera. Good news for our Road Trip Documentary. Other than some last minute details, I would say the majority of us are ready to get going on this road trip. Pop back tomorrow around 11:00pm PST for the last update before we head out on the road.

BUS DAY
July 15th, 2007

So the day finally arrived and we got our god damn bus, and good god is it ever fucking awesome. On a side note this is not going to be a potty mouth free blog, there is going to be some rad stuff going on over the next week, and then ever more rad starting on the 23rd. I just don’t think i can make it through all that radness without dropping the F-Bomb every once in a while.

So Graham, Ben, Alex, Matt and Paul all headed up to Cobble Hill Yesterday to acquire our new wheels and get it insured, then drive it back down to Victoria. A big ups to Ashley for the use of her car to get us up to Cobble Hill in the first place. When they finally made it back into town, things got fun. They stopped in at my place first to get me, Ben and Ashley and get some food. Then after that we picked up Bill, went to the Car wash, and not 5 minutes into washing the car Morgan showed up. When Morgan showed up, we officially had everyone but Adam present and in the bus at the same time.

After we got the car washed we headed back to Bills place and chilled there for a bit. Watched the footage Graham shoot while up in Cobble Hill. Footage that is going to be used for a amazing documentary we are shooting over the next 3-4 weeks. So there is something for all to look forward to. After some more dicking around at Bills place we finally decided to make the trip to Canadian Tire and pick up some much need accessories for this Bus. But those douche bags close at 8pm so we were forced to go to Walmart and pick up some stuff that we needed for the bus, and some stuff we don’t really need but was to awesome to say no to. Regardless that is something that you will have to wait for the documentary. So we proceeded to come back and start the official “Pimp our bus out” and we went to town. Its looking pretty good if i may say so myself.

Today we went to A&B sound and picked up a CD Deck (which is being installed on Thursday) and while i was not there, my understanding is Graham and Alex finally got some inside lights working that we could not figure out the other night. And they also gave the inside and good cleaning.

So thats pretty much where we are right now. I took about 150 pictures with my new camera yesterday and some of them turned out great. My ideal goal for this blog is to come to you everyday with a update as to what we got up to and 10-15 pictures. Saving a couple really good ones everyday for the documentary. So without further ado here is a selection of 11 photos taken yesterday.

As for the rest of the week its just a matter of getting everything ready. I suspect i will let this week pass without much change here at the LRR blog, but check back on the weekend and i may get something up.

Cheers

So just to quickly update you guys. While originally we were planning on hitting up the Comic Con in a strictly fan and general interest kind of way. We now have a bit more of a presence. Not only are we going to be in the Film Festival with our award winning and very popular video “How to talk like a Pirate” which you can peep below.

FILM FEST INFORMATION

  • Friday July 27, 2007
  • All films will be held in Room 26AB, on the south side of the Convention Center, above Hall H.
  • 1:50-2:10 pm

You might be wondering why there is 20 minutes alloted to a 6 minute video. Well its because afterwards we are given a short panel.

And to add to an already awesome time we are now going to be chilling at our very own booth. Its nothing huge or anything but a booth at comic con is a booth at comic con. We will be there, and boy do i mean we. Every cast member should be at this booth at one point or another. We will be basically just chilling, playing some DS and selling some stuff. We got DVDs and maybe shirts. Below you will find a not so detailed map of where we are located.
