Knock Knock!

Who’s there?

Monday!

Monday who?

Monday is LRR video update day!

That’s not a joke.

Get stuffed.

This week we have three great new videos for you to feast your eyes and ears on. First up is the LRR video Keeping Up With the Times, which features some incredible photoshop and some sorely needed greeting card options.

Unskippable takes us to a marginally sillier level, thanks to the one and only Hideo Kojima. This week Graham and Paul take on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which as you might have guessed, is not so much a word but a state of mind.

Guy 1: My roommate drank all my milk! Time for… revengeance!

Guy 2: Don’t you mean vengeance?

Guy 1: I’m afraid… I’m afraid it’s gone to far for that.

Guy 2: What? The milk has?

Guy 1: Never will Brian’s dark shadow fall over my dairy products again! His days of lactose tyranny are over! Now he must die. Like a man.

Guy 2: WAIT WHAT?!

Guy 1: Roses are read, blood is red, my passion is red, this is how it feels… when doves cry.

Guy 2: I think we’re done here.

And finally, this week on CheckPoint, we get to the bottom of why we love the annual Steam Summer Sale so much. Spoiler: It’s basically been engineered to make you buy shit. There’s also a sweet documentary coming out that chronicles of the story of the Nintendo Power Glove, but where’s the story of the Sega CD? Clearly, there are some Peripherals that are being neglected.

Happy Monday!

This week’s LRR video The Couch, takes your summer to a weird place. A hot place. A dry place. A sober place. I really can’t say too much about this video, so go watch it!

This week’s Unskippable also takes place in a hostile environment — a boat, and a boring newscast. Yes, it’s Resident Evil Revelations! Thrill as Jill and a fat-looking dude climb a rope! Marvel as they walk around on a boat! Thrill as ace TV reporter Penny Plot-Point recaps a bunch of stuff incredibly conveniently so you know what is happening in the game!

Finally, something for our Australian friends!

I smell like menthol! Nom nom nom nom nom nom!

No, not a gif of an adorable koala, that was just to get your attention. It worked, didn’t it? Anyhow, if you’re going to PAX AUS, you might be interested in the

I’m breaking up with you because of Microsoft and this terrible cutscene.

Happy Monday afternoon everyone!

This week’s video is Open and Shut — a script we’ve had kicking around for a long, long time! Graham originally wrote it back in September, but with Strip Search and Desert Bus, we were too busy to get enough people together for it. This video is also the first time many of you will have seen the newest pet addition to the extended LRR Universe, Baxter the kitten. He is a Maine Coon and he is just about five months old! I’m sure you’ll be seeing lots of him in the future.

On a less delightful note, this week’s Unskippable is Injustice: Gods Among Us, and I say this a lot, but this is one of the dumbest cut scenes Graham and Paul have ever sat through. It’s not just inconsistent with the DC Universe — it manages to be inconsistent with itself. It’s a real accomplishment, I tell you what.

Speaking of “real accomplishments,” Don Mattrick is headed to Zynga. That means we had to talk about the Xbox One for this week’s CheckPoint, Mattrick Goes to the Dogs. On the bright side, you always know we’d break our promise, so you’re probably not too bent out of shape about the whole thing. Graham was though. Sucks to be him, I guess.

Friday Nights – Prereleasing
July 5th, 2013

It’s the first Friday of the month, and that means a new Friday Nights!

This month, the crew (well, some of the crew) decides they’re in it to win it, and they’ll need to study hard if they want to win their local game shop’s M14 pre-release. Even though those things aren’t all that competitive. There’s Churchill quotes, blue cards, great pools and lots of bears — oh my!

If you liked Friday Nights, please let others know about it! Use the #FridayNightsMTG hashtag on Twitter, share it on Facebook, upvote it on Reddit, or let Wizards know by commenting in their forum. We’d really appreciate it and it’ll help us keep making these.

And finally, a  new episode of Friday Nights also means… a new, high-res crew card. We’ve already seen GrahamCam, Matt and Kathleen, so this month we’ll help James prepare both his body and his mind with his card.

Happy Canada Day! (And Happy America Day too)
July 2nd, 2013

It’s the first week of July! That means much of North America is getting its national celebration on. Expect residents of the top 2/3 of the continent to be pretty hung over for the next few days. Or pretending to be hung over to get out of boring things like cleaning out the garage.

Here at LoadingReadyRun Inc* we’re Canadian, and that means some delightfully silly Canadian fun for the LoadingReadyRun update. Although Canadians are proud and majestic creatures, they tend to be regarded as somewhat of an enigma by the rest of the world — more polite and guarded than our southern neighbours, yet far more wild and unpredictable than our European ancestors. You could be looking at a Canadian RIGHT NOW and not even know it. Thus, what better way to celebrate Canada’s official Day than with a handy guide that will allow you, the gentle viewer, to distinguish The Canadian in a crowd.

Shifting gears from things we like to things we don’t like, this week’s Unskippable takes place in a place far, far away from Canada, the fictional island nation of Banoi for Dead Island: Riptide. Alas, those who were able to survive the never-ending siege of fetch quests from the first game have found themselves embroiled in yet another “adventure” of consisting of “go here, get this, kill that, now do it 18 more times.” THRILLING!

Speaking of thrills and chills, this week on CheckPoint, we check in with Routine, the ultra-minimalist, hyper scary space survival horror. In space, nobody will hear you scream (or soil yourself in terror) as you’re hunted down by relentless, undying, impossible to kill malfunctioning androids. Yah, if you’re into that kind of thing! In more delightful news, there is going to be another Molyjam, but this time using real quotes from Peter Molyneux. Predictably, the quotes are weirder than the fake ones they used for the first Molyjam.
