TapTapConcede

Big news if you like Magic, podcasts and phaffing about! The second podcast in the new LRR “actually trying to make this podcasting thing happen” network of podcasts is TapTapConcede, a new resource for casual magic players. Our first episode is online now — we discuss Prophecy-era cards, what guilds we’re excited for in Gatecrash and what it’s like to be in the furnace layer of New Phyrexia. (Not warm enough, as far as Kathleen is concerned.)

TapTapConcede will go up monthly. We record it on the third Saturday of every month.

This week’s Loading Time video takes you behind the scenes of our video The Nasa Conspiracy. Shot in the corner of the LRR office where we usually shoot CheckPoint, the video took a lot of set dressing and person dressing to give it that special, nutcase-y feeling.

For those of you that have been following along with Graham, Paul and Brad as they attempt to slog through the horror that is Cursed Crusade, they’re still at it. Episode 17 is now online for your enjoyment. And their misery.

A surround sound coffin and a rare draft where everything goes wrong…

Happy Wednesday everyone. This week’s Feed Dump is Surround Sound Coffin. The episode starts well with a timely take on the Dead Island UK edition controversy, but then rapidly abandons all presence of sense after Cam finds out it is theoretically possible to fire the contents of your stomach through a Super Soaker. Oh well.

Kathleen’s bad singing is probably the least of your worries with this episode.

In case you’re a Magic fan, the latest LRR comedy draft is up on MTGO Academy. You won’t learn much, but you will see what happens when you set out to do a rare draft and you open what are typically described as “poor quality” rares.

Look, I’m sure there are ways to abuse this card in constructed, OK?

Happy Monday! Videos, the return of the LRRcast and more!

Let it never be said we don’t like to give you content here at LoadingReadyRun. Good morning! Happy Monday! Have five videos!!

First up is this week’s LoadingReadyRun video The Nasa Conspiracy. This video… not so gently lampoons the crazy conspiracy theorists we tend to see popping up online. I would say this is satire, but I don’t honestly think this is actually much worse than some of the stuff I’ve seen online.

The illuminati is watching!! They think this video is actually kind of funny.

This week’s Unskippable is the modern classic, Final Fantasy XIII-2. As someone who has played it, it’s actually a pretty good game. It’s just a bit hard to tell from this trainwreck of an opening cut scene.

Do you suppose they burn Yeul logs for Christmas in some alternate timelines? *Ba dum tish*

This week’s CheckPoint is THQ is Going to Pieces, an episode where we make THQ an offer it should seriously consider, given the fact that we’re probably the only people in the world that not only remember some of their more obscure franchises, but actually want them…

How can you not accept an offer from a man with a beard this nice?

Episode 16 of Graham, Paul and Brad’s Cursed Crusade Let’s Play is also online. It features the worst case of shoe-horning a pop culture reference into a game I’ve ever seen. It’s truly awful. I recommend you watch it for yourself!

AND FINALLY, THE LRRCAST RETURNS! JUST LOOK AT THAT NICE NEW TITLE ANIMATION. YEAHHHH…

Ever want to see what happens when we film an episode of Commodore Hustle? Well this week’s Loading Time has you covered – this week we take you behind the scenes of the the thrilling “room writing” process!

The full article for this video is of course, over on The Escapist. If you want to know more about why my pants are as bright as the sun, that’s a good place to be.

This week’s Loading Time also serves as a nice advertisement for our YouTube channel. It’s the place all of our extra content like Lets Play videos, behind the scenes stuff and anything else we randomly put up can be found. If that floats your boat and you haven’t already subscribed, we’d love it if you would.
