Feed Dump resumes its regularly scheduled Feed Dumpiness this week with Graham, Paul and myself keeping the to the straight and narrow with Maximum Macca. There are a lot of poop jokes.
Let me sing you the song of my people. (My people are generally pretty dumb.)
In 2013 I’ll be making more frequent, but smaller blog updates for each one of our videos. Hopefully you find this new system to be an improvement. If you don’t… well, it is an excuse for me to post more Jerk City comics. So we have that.

Welcome to 2013! A year that’s sure to be packed full of adventure, excitement and myriad delights! Also, lots and lots of LoadingReadyRun videos! Also more blog posts from MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. (Prepare your bodies.)
Let’s start off with this week’s LoadingReadyRun video proper — an all new Commodore Hustle called Resolved that explores what happens when we let Matt’s new “education” mess up our creative process. The joke of the video being that 1. Graham does actually know quite a bit about filmmaking and 2. that Graham never listens to us anyhow. It also features ANDY! What are you waiting for? Go watch it.
Je ne parlez pas le francais. Je suis un canard giantesse. J’aime les chats.
Then, while you’re on the Escapist (really, you’re right there…) check out this week’s Unskippable for Dishonored. The game is great, but the opening cut scene leaves quite a bit of room for humor. The Empress might be a practical pants-wearing lady, but even pants aren’t going to save her from that hair. Yikes.
Corvo, does this look suit me?
Also CheckPoint is back! Returning after our December hiatus, Graham, Paul and myself have found no shortage of ridiculous gaming news to gently lampoon. In PSGone, the first episode of 2013, we pour one out for our homie the PS2, which after 12 years is going up to that big old Gamestop in the sky. Alas, the trade-in credit isn’t even that good in the afterlife.
More awkward faces from the CheckPoint team. Horray.
Those of you who play Magic might also have noticed we got another official spoiler card from Wizards! If you haven’t seen the video where we spoil the Simic card Urban Evolution, you can watch it on our YouTube channel.
BUT WAIT… THERE IS STILL MORE!!
The holiday’s brought us back our honourable, wise and historically accurate friend Lord Brad Kirkland, which means that he joins Graham and Paul as they finish up one of the worst video games in the world… Cursed Crusade. You can check out all 15 episodes on our YouTube channel, with the rest coming soon!
If you’re not already subscribed to the LoadingReadyRun YouTube channel, you really should be. It’s where we put up lots of extra content, bonus features, Let’s Play videos and more.
Posted in LRR | Comments Off on Happy New Year, now get back to work Kathleen!
Now that our break is over, we ought to fill you in on all the videos that have gone up recently!
We have been admittedly awful about telling you recently, and we even forgot to update the site with one video entirely… 🙁
On Dec 24th, Kathleen brought us a script with great Efficiency, guest featuring Andy and Cam!
Then, on the 31st, we wrapped up Series 3 of Rapidfire with more Kane & Crowthorne action.
Both LRR episodes above also received their own episodes of Loading Time, embedded below.
ALSO!
We’re back on the horse for Let’s Play videos! Brad was back in town so he, Paul, and I knuckled down and ground out the rest of Cursed Crusade. New episodes (like the two below) going online frequently! Look for more GPLPs in 2013.
PA’s own Tycho kind of spilled the beans way back at PAX Prime, but we are thrilled to officially announce that we are producing Strip Search!
Strip Search is an online reality show looking for the next great webcomic artist, and is acting as Season 4 of Penny Arcade: The Series on PATV. Robert Khoo did a great teaser interview with Fleen that I’d highly recommend, but we can tell you a few more things today!
We are not shooting Strip Search… we’ve already shot it! In December we brought 12 amazing artists to Seattle, put them up in a house, rigged the house up with cameras, rigged the artists up with mics, and put them through a series of challenges to whittle down those 12 to one ultimate champion.
It was an amazing experience for everyone involved, cast and crew, and we can’t wait to show you the final result. Here are some questions I’m sure you have!
When will Strip Search air?
All we are saying officially is Q1 2013. Watch LoadingReadyRun or Penny Arcade for updates. It’s going to be sweet.
Why, I am! I’m very excited to tell you that I was not only directing the show off-camera, but hosting the festivities on-camera.
So, LRR is “producing Strip Search”… what does that mean?
That means a lot. We’ve been involved in the organization of the show for many, many months. We helped lock down the format of the show (with Robert Khoo, who did the bulk of that job), we came up with some events and challenges (along with Robert and Josh at PA), and we were on the ground in Seattle making it happen. Additionally, all the final editing will be happening here, at The Moonbase. It’s definitely Penny Arcade’s show, but LRR’s sticky fingerprints are going to be all over it.
That’s all we can say for now, or we’ll ruin all the surprises! But rest assured, this is a show you’ll want to watch whether you’re a fan of reality shows or not.
