As promised this is the update you’ll need for all your PAX East related information.

Friday (well, Saturday morning really): 1-2AM: Screening – Manticore Theatre: Watch LoadingReadyRun videos! We’ll be screening videos from season for for an hour, to close out the night. If you want to spend some time chilling before you head back to your hotel, join us and share some laughs.

Saturday: 2:30-3:30PM: Meetup – There’s a small plaza just east of the front door of the Hynes Convention Centre along Boylston St. This plaza is open air, accessible to anyone (even if you’re not attending the con itself) and won’t require you to buy anything! If you live on the east coast, and want to meet with the crew, even if you can’t go to PAX, you can come hang with us here!

Saturday: 10-11PM: Panel – Manticore Theatre: LoadingReadyRun Panel! Come to the theatre, watch a few videos, ask us some questions, have some fun! In attendance will be Me, Graham, Paul, Kathleen, Jer, James, and Tim. Fun times will be had by all!

All Weekend: Bandland – We have a table! Throughout the weekend members of the crew will rotate through our table in Bandland, to sign autographs, sell Tee-Shirts and DVD’s, and so on. Come back frequently, to see who’s around. Gotta catch us all!

So that’s it. I’m posting this to Twitter too, but this should be everything you need to know. Enjoy the con and see you there!

First off, thanks to everyone who came out to our set at the Phillips Comedy night on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. A few bumps here and there, but it went well on the whole, and we hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we enjoyed performing it. And for those who didn’t manage to attend, yes, we did film it. Expect the video to be released sometime after the LoadingReadyLive DVDs go out.

Secondly, by this time Next week, the crew will be in Boston, at the PAX East convention. As per the schedule, our panel at the con is Saturday night from 10PM to 11PM, in the Manticore Theatre. Hopefully We’ll see you there. Additionally, I believe we’re going to try and have a fan meet-up at some point, but where or what that will entail exactly we don’t know. I’ll try and post details next thursday here on the blog and on Twitter, so just make sure to check back, and you should get all the info you need.

Cheers.

Yeah, I’m pimping it again. But last time, I promise…

Comedy! We like it. You like it (we hope). There’s going to be a-f’ing-lot of it at the Phillips Comedy Night, this Sunday.

The show is Sunday, March 14th, at the Victoria Event Centre. The Event Centre is located at 1415 Broad St. Victoria, BC, V8W 2B2, across from the A-Channel Building, up a flight of stairs.

Here:

Doors are at 7:30PM, and the show starts at 8. Tickets are $10 at the door, $8 for students. The show will be worth every penny. (and not a cent more!)

You probably want to get there early. It shouldn’t sell out, but it could.

LoadingReadyRun will be headlining this comedy night with a live act featuring six skits, and the talents of Graham, Paul, Jer, Matt, James, Tim, Kathleen, Morgan, and a very special guest. Should be great!

Also great will be the other performers doing their thing, including:

Stand up comedy by Charles Martin, Carilynn Nicholson, Mark Robertson, May Brown, and a special appearance by Toby Hargrave, winner of “Vancouver’s Funniest Comedian, 2005”, and star of his own comedy special on CTV as well as sketch comedy by “This is Only a Test”. The Event itself is hosted by Wes Borg of Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie, and is brought to you by Phillips Breweries – makes of such Fine beverages as Phoenix Gold Lager, Blue Buck Ale, and a personal favorite the Longboat Double Chocolate Porter.

So come on out and support us, other great local comics, and a fantastic local brewery.

Cheers, all! See you there!

Oh my indeed.

First, and most importantly for any local LRR fans, LoadingReadyRun will be performing a 30-40 minute live set at the upcoming Phillips Comedy Night.

If you missed our live show back in 2005, this is the next best thing. We even have a special guest performer you absolutely won’t want to miss. The show is Sunday, Mar 14th at the Victoria Event Centre. Doors are at 8PM, and tickets are $10, ($8 if you’re a student). Details, such as the address, other performers and so on can be found here. Book the night off, bring your friends, and come join us for some laughs and a few drinks.

(The 14th also has the notable distinction of being my birthday, so if you don’t come wish me a happy birthday, I will be very disappointed.)

Secondly, you’ll be pleased to hear that we had an astonishing 102 pre-orders for the Slacking Team Shirt. Orders are now closed, but these shirts are definitely getting a run. Thanks for your interest! We’ll be printing these shirts soon, and I’ll update you when we ship them out.

On that same note, the last of our Science shirt pre-orders should have shipped out today, so if you haven’t received yours yet, fear not it will arrive soon. If you didn’t order a science shirt, but would like to purchase one (or it’s corresponding button), we’ll be adding the remaining stock to our store in the next couple weeks. As indicated, we now only have unisex-black to offer, but it’s a mighty fine shirt with very high print quality.

Finally, I’m pleased to inform you that a new print run of LoadingReadyRun DVDs has been ordered for each of seasons 2, 3, and 4. We don’t have an exact date yet, but they should all be back in stock on our store, and ready for you to buy, by the end of the month!

Thanks everyone, and we hope to see you at the comedy night! You won’t want to miss it!

Like, you really won’t.

Really.

In which the LRR crew are “Con” artists

It appears that February will be a busy month for the LRR crew, and an exciting one for LRR fans! We have no less than four appearances scheduled this month!

The first is GottaCon, which happens over the weekend of February 5-7 at the pearkes Recreation centre at Tillicum Mall. LRR has a panel and sceening block scheduled at the con on Sunday Feb. 7th at 12:00 PM. Please see their site (linked above) for admission details.

The following weekend sees us in attendance at two events. The Vancouver Island Short Film Festival will be showing two of our films (‘Mercenary Solutions’ and ‘The Secret of the Sauce’) on the evenings of Friday Feb 12th and Saturday Feb 13th, at the Malaspina Theatre on the Nanaimo Vancouver Island University campus. The Crew will be in attendance for the Saturday showing, but if you can’t make that one, you should try to get to the Friday show anyhow – the festival shows a ton of great short films from all sorts of local film-makers, and the festival really deserves your support. Tickets can be purchased at the doors (doors are at 6:30PM) or in advance from the Nanaimo Art Gallery at Vancouver Island University, Falcnor books at Port Place Mall in dowtown Nanaimo, The Nanaimo Arts Council in the Nanaimo North Town Centre, House of Indigo on Commercial St. in downtown Nanaimo.

The Sunday of that weekend, on Feb 14th, LRR will be attending the Phillips Comedy Night, a monthly shocase of Victoria’s local comedy scene, featuring sketch, stand-up, improv, video, and sometimes even musical comedy. The featured act for this show is Slut Revolver. Tickets are $10, ($8 for students), and are available at the door. The event is held at the Victoria Event Centre on Broad St. Doors are at 7:30PM, curtain at 8. (As an additional heads up, LoadingReadyRun will be performing a live set the following month for the Mar. 14th comedy night, so make sure you come to that one too!)

And finally, on the weekend of the 19th-21st LRR will be appearing at TsukinoCon (formerly Kei-Kon) at the University of Victoria. We have a panel and screening block scheduled for 8PM on saturday the 20th. The schedule is not yet available on their site, but my understanding is that we will be in the main auditorium. Check back on their site for details as they are confirmed, as well as for registration details and prices.

Hopefully you can make it to all (or at least one) of these great events, and we look forward to seeing you there!
