So we actually managed to get up and get our self’s fed this morning all before noon. For anyone who knows us, that is quite the accomplishment. Matt, the crazy nut that he is actually got himself out of bed at 7:30 and went for a run. Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins, you should be proud of your son. Lord knows we aren’t 😛 The car seems to be running well this morning. We do have a coolant leak that we are getting taken care of in the next couple minutes. And that has been pretty much our day so far. No points have been awarded as of yet. I think we all just want to get out on the highway and get the hell through Portland with very little distractions.

One thing is for sure. Gas is going to cost a little more than I think we originally planned for. Unfortunately it is kinda hard for me to “crunch” the numbers right now. No internet FTL. I think everyone is a little burnt out from yesterday still, here is a quick run down of what people are doing RIGHT NOW:

As far as I know we are heading for Sacramento, CA. Mind you I think it is still another 5-6 hours from here and its already 4:00. I guess we will see.

Closing in on Medford, OR I believe. We have had a good time driving through OR today. Adam decided it would be fun to start writing sings on a notebook bill gave him. Wrote stuff like: WE ARE FROM CANADA, HONK IF YOU LIKE OUR BUS (and yes, people did) and other such nonsense. But the fun of it came when we came upon 2 girls most likely around our age. Adam started it off by just holding random signs up, really nothing offensive. But for whatever reason they did not take it in good spirits. Mind you we keep throwing sings up for what seemed like 40 miles we were along side them. They backed off, or we pulled forward but we always met up again at some point and we were right there with a sign. I think they fingered us about 3 times all in all. Good times were had by all. Except maybe the girls in that car 😛 Ladies if by chance you copied down the URL on the back of the bus, and stumbled upon this blog. I would just like to say… A/S/L? If your interested email [email protected] and I will get you in touch with the jackass that was holding up the signs. His name is Adam and he likes sandwiches, minorities and dressing like a scene kid.

We just stopped off at some at some hole in the ground town (no offense) and got some more gas (le sigh) and went to the grocery store and picked up the fixins’ for sandwiches. Morgan cut up some tomatoes and I proceeded to make 8 fucking sandwiches on a bus, moving 120Km/h on the stupid freeway. My back is sooooo sore right now. More to come.

Ok, since that last stop we have successfully crossed into CALIFORNIA! We just passed through Weed, CA, filed up on gas and “fixed” our leaky cooler. We are now on our way to a town just outside Sacramento, CA, where we actually have a hotel booked and waiting for us!

We should be there around midnight or so. At which point Adam is going to shotgun a tallboy and buy a hooker.

This is now Adam writing, and I’m not entirely sure if I have much interesting to say. This trip so far has been fun, but definitely not the symphony of destruction I had originally planned. I know, it’s only the second day…. but this was supposed to be a total whirlwind. Real “end of the world” type shit. Granted, we had some bus problems which definitely changed our plans a ton. I had planned to have at minimum of one or two amazing stories per day, and the first day lived up to that and more. I don’t know what I’m going to have to do inn the next 2 hours. I won’t really have any interesting stories until I can mix it up at some local watering holes and meet some people I don’t know yet.

So here we are sitting in the hotel room in Williams, CA. Its now closing in on 2:30am and we have to be up in… 5 hours. Lame. Overall we got a lot of driving in today, which was really good. We are planning on pushing onto San Diego tomorrow morning, super early. Today was coming to a close really quiek and as you can see in the post above Adam was getting pretty worried that we wouldn’t have at least 1 awesome story in for the end of the day and boy did we get it. When we got in at 12:30, Me, Adam, Bill, Morgan, Ben and Matt decided to find a bar. When we found out that the only bar in this town was closed we headed for a gas station to buy some beers. On the way to that gas station we passes by a cop (yes this is foreshadowing) and didn’t really think much of it. After we bought our beer, we thought it would be a great idea to go shotgun the beers by this grain silo we passed. Not 2 minutes after stopping there the cop came by and had a little talk with us (stop shaking your head mom) it lead to nothing and the guy was super nice, however the BEST part of the whole thing is he totally didn’t think Matt was even close to 21. When Matt told the officer that he was, in fact 24. His reply… NO SHIT. Needless to say we LOL’D. Now we are just chilling in the room watching Ben shave his legs. Yes, you heard me.

So we have developed a system for playing music in the bus as we make our way down to the Con. Basically it started with the driver (once we got off the ferry) and will work itself around the bus over and over and over and over and over ect. Everyone gets to play 1 Album, front to back. Or if someone wants to put on a collection of music, they get 12 songs. I will be keeping track of the music we listen to. If someone chooses an album I will write that down (Artist : Album). If they decide to play 12 random songs, I will just put down Bills Random Mix #1 feat. (Artist : Song) And at the end of the day I will post that information in thee blog (if the intranets allows me)

**POINT CHALLENGE**

I can blame no one for this atrocious idea but myself. Simply put, anyone at anytime may challenge anyone, anywhere to do something. That could be eating something gross or whatever else they can think of. There are 3 levels of challenges:
1pt : Easy Challenge
2pt : Mediocre Challenge
3pt : Should you really be doing this? Challenge
Once the challenge is set forth, anyone else can pipe up and throw in a point as well.
(Example: Bill gets challenged by Adam to drink something dumb. For completing this challenge he gets 1pt. If say I, or Morgan, or anyone else really wants to see Bill do this, they can throw in 1pt as well. If 3 more people are willing to throw in points Bill will get 4pts.)
The points do nothing. We keep track of them and whoever wins, wins. It honestly means nothing. There are a few additional rules but none that really need to be known. So as well as the Blog, The Music list and the pictures, I will also be posting the days points.

So we got the hell outta Olympia with pizza to boot. Heading for some factory outlet stores further south and are just about to head back out on the road. Adam and Bill have died and gone to heaven. They are currently inside the Nike Outlet Store trying on shoes that actually fit them. WEIRD!!!

Well I knew it was going to happen but I was hoping not this quick. We just got past Vader, WA and the bus started to loose momentum. And just as we passed a bridge we had to pull over. So I am sitting on the side of the 1-5 with a bus that we are hoping to hell just over heated! I am being told that it was most likely overheating cause we have a coolant leak! YAH!

So it’s an hour later and thanks to some awesome dude who towed us into a HUGE truck stop we are at a mechanic. More to come 😛

We are coming up to 6:30 and there is some good news and some bad news. The good news is the Bus starts. The bad news is we haven’t actually had a mechanic look at it yet.
So some of the guys just went into the truck stop to grab some food. Now I guess we will sit around and wait for a mechanic to at least take a quick look at what the problem is.

Ok we are back on the road. Had a mechanic check it out and he seems to think it was just an over heating issue. (GOD I HOPE SO) And the whole thing became completely worth it. And that is defiantly something that is going to remain a secret. It was just to fucking good to share with you right now. Our goal is to try and make it to Eugene, OR. Thought if we can make decent time we might be able to get to Medford, which was our original goal!

So we broke down again. Waiting for Mechanic, that is all.

Ok so we now have the mechanic out taking a once over of the bus. He seems to think the problem is gas is not getting to the engine. He doesn’t seem to think it is the gas pump, which is a very good thing. Right now he is thinking it might be a blockage in the gas line.

We spent almost 6 hours coming to the realization that cars, do in fact, NEED GAS. Now before you tear into us for being completely fucking retarded there were extenuating circumstances. We learned a couple things about our bus today that might have been good to know YESTERDAY!!! (name the reference) So we are now (hopefully) on the way to Portland, OR. Any family or girlfriends that may be reading this blog might want to consider on looking into a new sons or boyfriends. 🙁

FUCK YOU WASHINGTON STATE! Not the people mind you. They were pretty rad. So we finally made it through to Portland, about 4 hours shy of where we wanted to be. Surprising about how long it took us to be not stupid. It took a couple trys, but we finally found a hotel to stay in. Got 2 rooms and a deal to boot! So that was good. Today has been nothing short of a whirlwind. It was awesome but certainly painful at some points. I would like to personally like to thank the following people.

-The guy who actually stopped on the I5 and towed us into the truck stop. Can’t remember his name but he was awesome.
-The mechanics at the body shop. Our stupidity was not there fault and they helped out so much and charged us so little. You my friends, are heroes.
-And to the guy at the hotel we are staying at right now. These 2 rooms would have normally cost us upwards of 300.00 but he gave both of them to us for 200.00.
-Also Jesus, Jesus is our Homeboy!

So I think what I am going to do with this blog is just try and write stuff as we go. And then when I come across a wireless network I can update what I have so far and then put some pictures up at the end of the day.

We got to the ferry this morning, stupid early and got through with very little problems. We are on the ferry as I write this, and my god is it ever foggy right now. The Foghorn is going off every couple minutes. Once we get into Port A, we can hopefully get that group shoot that should have been taken yesterday.

So we got off the ferry without much hassle. I honestly think this whole “road trip” is really starting to sink in. We all are sitting around the bus right now shooting the shit, listening to music and we all just have HUGE shit eater grins on all our faces! We are currently on the way to Olympia, WA.

Just arrived in Olympia. Me, Graham and Morgan are staying with the bus as I type this, while the other idiots are off trying to find us food. They are being dumb. Very dumb.

Just leaving our house now. Been in touch with Graham and that household. They are awake, i guess thats something.
No answer from Matt. He had better be in the shower or hes staying home 😛
