IZ IT CAN BE VIDEO TIEM NAO!? CAN HAZ.

It’s a new commodoreHUSTLE! With Cats!

In keeping with the HUSTLE series, this is again based loosely on real events. Yes, Kathleen’s cat Annika starred in a video on the internet featuring him with his head stuck in a bag (you can find that here). Yes, said website does pay for videos, and yes, we have previously tried to leverage that to our advantage. Also true: I am not a cat person. The internet may be, but I most certainly am not. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate cats, I just don’t really have any use for them. As per the video, if some catastrophic event suddenly eliminated all cats from this plane of existence, you would find me largely indifferent to the situation. I might celebrate by enjoying a cupcake. Over the several years I’ve known them, I’ve found Kathleen’s cats very tolerable, but they’ve never really managed to win me over. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be over here cuddling my puppy. Daww.

Unskippable this week was Atelier Rorona. You can catch that here.

This week’s video is live, and it’s a shiny new commodoreHUSTLE. Check it out by clicking right… here.

Ha! Got you! Seriously though you can find it here.

This episode of commodoreHUSTLE retells the true story of how Jer made Alex’s (and to a lesser extent everyone else’s) life miserable for a period of weeks surrounding Desert Bus for Hope, and the ultimate retribution Alex finally wrought upon him. There’s no describing the vileness of club soda, it’s something one has to experience for themselves. It actually is just fizzy water and baking soda, and that’s exactly what it tastes like, but worse, by nature of it’s being some unholy mixture of the two. Truly, it is the worst of all drinks. Go try one sometime. Then cry yourself to sleep.

Unskippable this week was R.U.S.E. You can check that here.

Heh.

It’s Magic!

I tap two mountains and summon this week’s video. It has haste, and swings for 2.

So if you’ve been paying any attention to the crew at all, of late, it will come as no surprise to you that this episode is based extremely heavily on actual events. They did, in fact, give away Magic cards at PAX. That is, in fact, what got us back into magic. Many of us are now deeply… shall we say, “invested” in the game. There were spending limits. They did go away. Kathleen actually does have an angry kitties deck. Alex can do magic. Some of us have two or even three different decks we play in rotation. Some of us play at Friday Night Magic at Yellow Jacket.

All in all, I hope you appreciate what a fricking miracle it is that we’re even producing videos anymore.

No, I have not spent $40 on one card. (I was also not the first to cave under the spending limit).

Unskippable this week was Clash of the Titans. You can find it here.

Cheers!

SHIRTS! (and to a lesser extent DVDs)

Are you one of the many LRR fans who ordered themselves a LRR Starburst shirt from our recent shirt design contest? Are you one of the many LRR fans who was starting to wonder if they were ever going to arrive? Well, take heed! They’re on the way! As I type this post the LRR crew are toiling away making sure that every single shirt gets bundled up in a nice little package for delivery right to your doorstep (or mailbox, or apartment unit, or P.O. Box, etc.)! That means the overwhelming majority (if no all) will be in the mail

and on their way by the end of the week!

Additionally, if you ordered a Hustle DVD with your shirt, you’ll be pleased to know that they’re shipping together, and you’ll find your self in possession of both as soon as they arrive.  We are sorry that it took so long to get these out, but there were a variety of hangups involved that were beyond our control, and they delayed us significantly. The shirts only arrived at the LRR office this morning, so we really are trying to get them out to you as quickly as we can possibly manage.

We hope that, despite the delays, you’re looking forward to wearing yours just as much as we’re looking forward to wearing our own.

If you didn’t order a shirt or DVD, you can still do so over at http://loadingreadyrun.com/store. The surplus Starburst shirts aren’t up yet (though they will be soon), but the Hustle DVDs are. Remember to check back for the shirts though, because they are limited, and when they’re gone, they’re gone.

Cheers!

New Pre-Order: Starburst (by request) PLUS commodoreHUSTLE DVD set!

After a six-week process, I’m happy to announce that we have a winner for our first ever T-shirt open call. That winner is Kyle Nichols (Vigafre), whose Starburst design pleased crew and fans alike to net him a design buyout, and us an awesome new shirt … which I’m also happy to announce you can pre-order right now over on the LoadingReadyRun store. While we normally offer only one colour variation for the ink on our shirts, we’ve opted to offer two versions this time, so keep in mind when you order that you will have to choose both a shirt colour and an ink colour.

As of today, you have 26 days to pre-order this shirt. Assuming it gets 50 pre-orders, we’ll print a run, and ship shirts out to everyone who ordered them. If not, we’ll refund everyone’s money and try a different design. Pre-orders also get a free starburst button to compliment the shirt, which you can see over on the store page.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in the open call, it’s been a wild ride.

In other exciting news, the long-in-process commodoreHUSTLE DVD is complete, and being printed as we speak. We’ve decided to open up orders for this as well, with the caveat that we will not be shipping them until after PAX, when the Starburst pre-order closes. We are primarily opening orders early to allow folks who pre-order the new shirt to combine shipping, though that shouldn’t stop you from ordering one now, even if you don’t want the shirt … you’ll just have to wait a couple weeks until we have them available to ship out. The Hustle DVD includes all eleven episodes, the epilogue, commentaries, bloopers and bonus features.

Both these items have been a while in coming, and it’s great to be able to finally get them out to all of you :).
