Last Saturday most of us took a drive to Nanaimo to attend the 5th annual Vancouver Island Short Film Festival, where we had two videos entered, which were “Mercenary Solutions” and “Secret of the Sauce”.
The festival was really great this year. We’ve been attending the festival since its inception and had really great experiences with it in the past, and I think we’d all agree that this year had the strongest lineup so far.
Best of all, the judges awarded us (specifically, Graham) the Best Writing award for Secret of the Sauce, meaning that LRR has won Best Writing at the VISFF for five years in a row!
We brought a camera along and recorded some of the goings on. I’ve strung together a few of the less interesting moments, which you can watch in the first of a new series of “slice of life” videos that we’re calling “On The Run”.
Enjoy perusing the minutia of our lives!
OMG Congrats LRR and congrats Graham, you guys definitely deserve to win these, I wish I could say something like “Yeah I been here since the start and followed you guys for forever”, but sadly, I’ve only been a fan for a couple months, but I can say I’ve watched your entire archive of videos here(except celestial sea), participated in teh last desert bus and watch all your stuff on the escapist. Congrats again, keep up the good work and I can’t wait until Monday

There are a really small number of opportunities to hear THAT arrangement of words.
Also, congratulations! Yet again!

That’s what I thought, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to squander them.

LRR should win EVERY award, but I’ll be content with them being recognized for best writing.
Congrats, guys! Keep it up and the world will soon realize your genius!

I, too, enjoy Coldplay. They are the best Radiohead cover band I’ve ever heard.
