It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for more coffee… wait, no… I got this. It means Feed Dump, a new LRR Draft and a new episode of Strip Search. Phew!
First up, you finally get to see what Mike and Jerry are up to in Strip Search — they’re the ones judging the elimination contests! Treading a nice line between funny and scary.
If Magic is more your speed, check out the latest LRR Draft over at MTGO Academy, where James and Graham try for Simic, and amazingly it works. Mostly. Pretty well actually.
Finally, Graham, Paul and Kathleen take on some lightly expired Korean snack cakes in this week’s Feed Dump: Gorillas, UFOs and Pie.
“Fresh” is stretching the truth, to be honest.
Now here’s something. The slogan of these pies is “It’s Now!” PSY had a hit song called Right Now. I think Koreans might just like urgency. Everything is better if you do it NOW? Here’s that PSY video. Decide for yourselves.
Happy Monday, and apologies for the lat update today. I slept in. I would blame daylight savings, but I’m one of those freaks who likes it. I like seeing daylight in the afternoon. It really, really improves my mood. I know many people find the whole spring forward thing inconvenient, but as far as mental health goes, I think its great.
Speaking of living in the dark, this week’s LRR video is Frank Miller’s SimCity, a ridiculous mashup of SimCity and Sin City.
The city isn’t happy, and neither am I. These windows look filthy!
This week’s Unskippable takes on Assassin’s Creed 3, the bringing it all together arc of Desmond, who is not only boring, but now just seems kinda boorish in this episode. Helping is for others, I guess.
I made this hat from diapers and styrofoam. Can you tell?
This week’s CheckPoint, Kicking Expectations checks in with the growing controversy of the Banner Saga. The Banner Saga’s saga, if you will. I’ve been waiting all week to use that joke.
Plug N Plug N Plug N Play is the name of my AC/DC cover band.
Finally, don’t forget to watch the Loading Time for That’s No Moon. Especially since I forgot to upload it on Thursday. Herp. Derp.
Hello, Paul from Action 9 News here, interviewing a man who says he voluntarily chose this haircut.

Wednesday is commonly known as “Hump Day”, but as I found out last week, you don’t get to grind against random people’s legs on this so-called “Hump Day”, so I’m not really sure what the point of the stupid nickname is. In fact, the only good thing about Hump Day is that it’s also the day Feed Dump updates. This week we offer you up Trolls, Snakes and Badgers, the first all guessing game, all Homestuck bandwagon jumping Feed Dump! Give us dem sweet, juicy Homestuck fan-views.
Are you “a Homestuck”? Well, have I got a totally unrelated, pandering thing for YOU!
All kidding aside, I got the idea to use the Homestuck Troll names after attending Tsukino Con in Victoria BC. There was so much awesome Homestuck cosplay, I was inspired.
In other news, the nice folks over at Big Fish Games asked us to make them a little ad for Fairway Solitaire. It’s a game we all enjoy and play (me A LOT), and they were nice enough to give us lots of creative freedom when we were writing and filming. We don’t do much “corporate work” here at LoadingReadyRun, but taking on projects like this, Friday Nights and Strip Search help keep the lights on at the Moonbase. Moon power is not cheap.

Did you know that Loading Ready Run is currently doing post-production on a reality show for Penny Arcade called Strip Search?
Graham is hosting it! Paul was one of the people filming it! Occasionally I am seen slinking through the background! If you haven’t seen any of Strip Search, it’s available here, at penny-arcade.com/strip-search.
Here are the first two episodes:
For those of you who were aware of all that, we really hope you’re enjoying Strip Search. It’s not typical LRR content, but we think there are a few LRR touches in it here and there — it’s not your typical reality TV show, let me assure you of that. From now on Strip Search will be appearing in the new video carousel at the top of the LRR website, allowing you to watch the fun without having to do anything tiresome, or dull, like leave the LRR website. We are truly, dedicated to you, our viewer.
In other news, who would like to see an extra Loading Time video? Well, not so much extra as… late. We forgot to put this one online. Whoops! Loading Time – Harlem Shake takes us behind the scenes of the latest Commodore Hustle, detailing just how we made that delightful homage to the shortest lived meme ever to exist. Turns out that if a meme arises that is: A) Capable of being done by anyone, B) So simple it requires almost no effort, AND C) Has no way of being seen as anything more than a delightful internet thing, (AKA not rude or dirty), you will see that meme RUN INTO THE GROUND. The Harlem Shake was already getting tired when we put out this video, and we put it three days after it exploded on Reddit.
For those of you who might have missed the original Commodore Hustle (or those that just want to relive the delights of the stinger, which is the best one we’ve ever done, IMHO) it’s online here: cH – The Harlem Shake.
I’m the 683rd most interesting man in the world. There was a vote and I scored remarkably high!
I realize most people don’t really like Mondays, but I stole that phrase from Jian Gomeshi, and I need SOMETHING to open my blog posts with. Anyhow, Monday’s are generally pretty enjoyable, considering you get three new LRR videos to look at!
First up this week is That’s No Moon, a scientifically silly script by everyone’s LRR guest star, Andy! Graham and Paul braved the hazards of night shooting to bring you this. I’ve been feeling really run down for the last couple of days, so I took a nap inside the Moonbase. Aww yisss…..
This is what happens when you do math while nursing a grudge.
Next up, another video I had no involvement with — the hilarious second part of Tales of Graces F! This episode introduces the good old JRPG standby, the love triangle. If you haven’t checked out part one of Graham and Paul’s riff on Tales of Graces F, it can be found here.
Please ladies (and lady-like men), there’s enough room for ALL of you in my harem.
Finally, a video I did contribute to — Getting Down to Bidness, the latest CheckPoint. THQ is auctioning off all its stuff in a couple of mega lots, so the CheckPoint THQ IP dream looks like its coming to a close. Sadpants.
My new haircut makes me 68 percent more cynical about all this “announcing an announcement” stuff.
