Re: The Gatekeeper
Why in the fucking hell did I read that entire comment section at this rate I'm going to end up trying Anita's videos again out of sheer spite for the weird hateon that illogical internet manchildren have for her. I mean, I watched the first one and kept saying "yeah, ok...when do you start say...

Re: The House of Stark
Yeah, I checked, if you give the dragon a wide enough berth and don't pick up the items, it doesn't wake up. That's kind of an important detail though (oh hey look at these items, might as well grab those OH GOD WHY IS IT MOVING NOW) Although the dragon is guarding both a) Astora's Straight sword, a...

Oh my god there is a 30 post long thread in the youtube comments of people arguing about how Anita Sarkeesian is a fraud because she doesn't really like games I can't how can someone miss the point so spectacularly like it sailed straight over their heads. This is one of my other experiences with t...

Re: The House of Stark
Uh...shouldn't you mention that the undead dragon will try to kill him when he runs past? I haven't played Dark Souls in a while but I'm 80% sure what you're describing runs straight through the Dragon's aggro zone.

Paul: Got a graphic for your stream yet? I do not, but I am open to suggestions :) Ooh ooh how about a graphic of you balancing video game consoles on your head? :D The GPLP logo with the Gs crossed out was hilarious, but I second this suggestion for a more permanent logo. (did Graham ever get to s...

I absolutely love how 136 makes a bizzare kind of sense even to someone unfamiliar with the LRL streams- but also delivers on a brilliant in-joke for everyone else. Multiple in-jokes, even. Plus, y'know, Alex in horsehead is just inherently funny. Oh, and episode 133 was absolutely genius as well. I...

I was really hoping you guys would open a Nessian Courser in future sight, just for the "huh??" value. Yep, Nessian Courser was a reprint from Future Sight. Also, Luminescent Liminid, the first enchantment creature! They should've reprinted it in Theros, even though it's not all that good. ...

Re: NEW VIDEO! - The Gatekeeper
Graham's continuously rising voice pitch is what really sold it for me. Lots of great small jokes too, like Jer just grabbing another comic or the butt pat. After a second watching, it occurs to me that this video has a decent chance of being shared fairly widely outside of the LRR fandom. It's such...

Re: IDDQDerp
What Chekov was arguing for was not to have things that were unimportant- everything in a story should serve a purpose. The purpose is not always plot related. Being a red herring is still a purpose. Setting a tone or mood is still a purpose. Really it's just about paring down a story for maximum im...

Not so much "too seriously" as "overestimating the original meaning"...
much as with the bechdel test.
I mean, these types of things usually have very specific meanings and they mean just that, no more.

Cam has slain me, as Cam does. I am slain. The shotgun beer joke was what did it. After that the rest of the video was just gasoline on the fire. The sunglasses made everyone seem even more sarcastic than usual. I think this is an effect that deserves to be studied. All in all, A+ dump, would dump a...

I was curious to see how this conversation was playing out, and I'm super glad that Alex is enjoying Dark Souls. I don't agree with the assertion that 'figuring it out' is an essential part of Dark Souls. I looked up TONS of information about Dark Souls and still loved the game. It's very much not a...

More proof that a smart person can make anything sound like a good idea, no matter how dumb. It's all in the marketing.

Came back to this game this weekend, finally beat NG++ with my magic focused setup. Dragons beat Ponce De Leon and Herodotus, a spellsword beat Alexander, and Khidr is such a chump I don't even remember who I beat him with. Then another dragon for Johannes/Fountain and that was game. 48 Children, pl...

New video a week before its intended release, and we got a bonus Kathleen stream out of the deal to boot. You guys are too good to us. Also you should probably sleep...sometime. You keep saying "you people" as though the group is in any way homogeneous. When you're getting flooded by requests, that's a large amount of single individuals who probably have very little concept of whatever other stimuli are coming at you. When you say "what do I have to do to get...

If anyone wants to help with my project, I made one copy of an exterior decoration that needs to be copied around the wall. I put down molds to indicate where the other copies would go. Leave your name on a sign if you help!

Maybe just 64 diamond blocks. That'd be way more practical.

Saunabath was successfully released earlier today, but the mining fatigue won't go away. Presumably, they'll have to wait for Memo to fix that.
Bad luck. I didn't think wolves were that rare, maybe the mob limit had already been reached in that area.

Either I was very unlucky, or Worlf spawn very rarely, as I must've been at it for more than an hour. So I counted the blocks on the first floor of my Orthanc build: 264 blocks. The building narrows as it goes up, so I figure half of that is a reasonable average: 132 blocks. The building is 192 blocks tall. That gives me a quick, back of the envelope total of 25,344 blocks. Of obsidian. I have no id...
