Re: Desert Bus 007 Torrent
DB 6 was only transmuxed, not transcoded. That means it was still the exact same bytes transferred over the wire during streaming but with a different container. This prevents losing any of the original quality and avoiding wasting CPU time transcoding, but results in highly inefficient filesizes si...

Should be fixed. Again, PM or email me if there's a problem. I'm not in the habit of checking the forums due to general life hecticness.

Re: The Hat Market Game
"Good reasons" being that I forgot the hat market was on the lrrcraft domain. I let lrrcraft.com expire because the minecraft server was shut down, so why bother spending $10 on it? And since nobody contacted me, I didn't think to move everything over. http://hats.fugiman.com/ is the new d...

It would have taken me an excessively long time to fix the desync issue, so yes. In some players there is a variable amount of audio/video desync. VLC and MPC seem to have very little though (for me MPC has none).

Re: Desert Bus 6 Torrent?
If you want me to put it on a hard drive and ship it to you I will. It'll cost you twice the price of the hard drive plus shipping. :) Depending on how much other downloading I do over this month, and what sort of deal you can get on an appropriately-sized hard drive, could be cheaper. :P The drive...

Re: Desert Bus 6 Torrent?
http://static.fugiman.com/DesertBus6.torrent 130GB. The video may be frozen for ~3 seconds at the beginning, there's nothing I can do about it. I recommend MPC or VLC, if audio is desynced then try the other player. If anything is terribly wrong, let me know and I'll release a patch. Merry (late) C...

Re: Desert Bus 6 Torrent?
Merry Christmas! The plan was to provide the torrent today as a sort of Christmas present. Unfortunately, I botched it up and accidentally deleted hour 57 when renaming all the files. Not to fear though! I have a back-up copy... at college. Which I won't return to until February. Oops. Maybe if John...

Re: Desert Bus 6 Torrent?
Right now the f4v files are ~140 GB. If it works, the torrent will just be those files renamed to mp4 and split up to not be (up to) 36GB each.
ETA is December 2nd.

Safari 5.1 on win7 works. I'd need more specifics to debug. Likely an extension of some sort causing interference.
Because seriously, they are IMAGES. There's no reason some wouldn't load.

Re: Unofficial Desert Bus Challenges Conversation Thread OF
Last year the stream recording was FLV with embedded MOOV-atoms. Kroze promised to convert it all and release a torrent. At the end of May, I gave up waiting for Kroze and uploaded all the raw footage to YouTube (DesertBusArchive account), which handled the conversion for me. Then I downloaded the m...

The hosting location is partially flooded. The main power company failed, the main backup generators got destroyed, and the backup backup generators ran out of fuel.
At this point I'm a little more concerned about the people working there...

You cleared your cache
Also note that I'm interested in usability, not just if it works. Does everything perform to expectations? Is there anything you don't like? Anything that makes you not want to use it? Let me know! (Comparisons to mibbit are allowed)

Re: Desert Bus Testing
The web client works somewhat on Firefox. It takes a while before the #desertbus channel shows up and the Userlist will not show at all or sporadically just show up but not show all those in the channel. On IE I get stuck on the Choose Yo nick page after login. The reason everything failed for you ...
