I got a 9/10 score on a test today at my uni! I know it doesn't sound like much but after being fired from my job and having decided to focus on getting my degree it does feel like a step in the right direction

Re: Books you're reading now
Finished "Gone girl" and "The secret history" both pretty good thrillers in my opinion.
Now I'm starting to read "A little life" and then I'm going to read "the red queen"

Re: Venting Thread Delta - Now With Easy to Follow Rules
I was fired during my vacation without so much as a reason. Nothing. AND while I was away, travelling abroad. I certainly didn't want to work where I was working anymore but being fired by people who don't know me, never bothered to get to know me AND while I was away? I found out a few days ago but...

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Hello! Does anyone know how to make hummus? I love it! But here in Argentina it's kind of hard to get so I was thinking maybe I can try making it if that's even possible? Is it simple enough? Also, is it... er.... fattening? If anyone knows the answer to all or any of those questions I'll be really...

A) I've lost some weight yay! (like one pound, but that's still one pound less than I was three weeks ago so woot!)
B) Bebop gave me some cookbooks that totally help me get inspired to cook new things while still on a diet
C) X-mas is around the corner and I'm sort of excited

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Alton Brown has some really good soup recipes you should check out. Also he just has amazing recipes in general you should look at. I know he has a vegetarian soup featuring kale and white beans. It does all for a parmesan rind, but that is easily cut out making it vegan friendly. I can't for the l...

SAMURAI JACK IS RETURNING . SO EXCITE. WOW. And it's Adult Swim this time, so episodes can be really dark if necessary. Literally the only downside to this is that Mako Iwamatsu, Aku's original voice actor, is dead. Did I mention that I am really excited? :D :D :D Seriously???? OMG you just made my...

Re: Foods What We Have Made And Eaten
Y'all started thinking about Christmas food yet? Traditionally I'm in charge of dessert, this year I've been playing around with some variations on morello cherry baklava, 'tis delicious and unusually but undoubtedly festive. Here in the south hemisphere it's kind of tricky. I mean we had to invent...

Jethro Tull plays at my former school. Then The Cars. They start with Let's Go, play a second song, then walk off stage in a temper because there're so few people. My dad shows up late because he's been flirting with some girls, and is disappointed he missed the show. "The original gig fell th...

I'm with a girl from Denmark. I saw her for two weeks in August. That's her in the picture thread. I'm seeing her for our first year anniversary in February. We're debating who's moving where. It's seeming more likely I'm moving there. Sorry for being a gossipy person (I am) but er.... weren't you ...
