Re: FF XIV Realm Reborn/Heavensward
I've just recently started replaying. Anyone want to get together on one server and start a free company for the LRR clan with characters or alts?

Re: Sidewalk Slam Ep7 - Payback 2016
Is anyone else confused about where the stuff at around 13:30? They were talking about Enzo and Cass and then Adam asks "How did you feel about that turn for Bray?" and Graham says "Yeah" and Adam says "That's what I mean." I'm sitting here wondering "What turn? Pl...

The LoadingReadyRumbles will make very little sense without context, but they are very visually interesting.

I really like Sense8 for TV this year. It's flawed, but enjoyable. As was quoted in the podcast, you can't really accuse the Wachowskis of being boring.

Thanks for all the advice!
I'm partially moved in now and have a shopping list for this weekend (assuming that blizzard doesn't put the kibosh on shopping).

Moving Advice
In about a month I'll be moving back to southeastern pa from the Midwest. It's the first major move I've made since I started grad school and I was hoping for some advice. More specifically, what sort of household staples do people tend to forget to buy (e.g. a toilet plunger) and then regret later?...

The patreon doesn't actually give supporters extra content. It's just a way of supporting LRR (which is great, don't get me wrong!), but I'm just worried you might have the wrong idea because a subscription implies early access or exclusive content which isn't really a thing.

I'm also going to second Mothra Fighter. In some part it does boil down to calories in vs. calories out. I found that I do best when I aggressively count calories and determine how much is in every meal I make such as including the oil I use in a pan, the fruit I might snack on in the afternoon, eve...

I'm also in! So, a few years ago I managed to lose about 30 lbs. The problem was that I didn't stick with it. Also, I moved in to a house with a meal plan and the inability to control the snacks in the fridge or what I ate (and my own lack of self control) caused me to gain it all back in the past y...

Re: Qwerpline Ep04 - Harvest Festival
I didn't get the joke about the abandoned stall of "perfume bottles". But maybe I'm trying to read too much into it. The stall belongs to the perfume seller, Ball Hinkley, from episode 00. The reason no one is there currently is because Beej voices both Ball and Derek - so he couldn't int...

I love how summer intern Derek is still working in the fall. I would have thought the producers at Qwerpline would have taken the opportunity to let him go once the summer was over.
Great episode. I quite enjoyed it.

Got a job offer yesterday. Objectively I realize this is a good thing, but the idea of it makes me want to curl up and cry and my anxiety was affecting me physically ... I hate my brain chemistry sometimes.

Just when I was wondering when we'd get another trivia challenge! I was making Cam's sad face through much of this quiz. My head is clearly full of useless knowledge that seemed to have an almost perfect intersection with the questions this time. The video incredibly entertaining and I can't wait fo...

Re: Arclight_Dynamo's Anime Frustration
It's all about personal preference. If I'm doing something else while watching anime then I'll use dubs because I don't want to have to always be watching the screen to follow along. Sometimes the dubs have very good voice acting so I like it more. Sometimes dubs have awful voice acting or no dub ex...

I know exactly that feeling of not knowing what to do if suddenly the path your on doesn't work out. I spent years in a post grad program that I wasn't enjoying because it was what I felt my future should be until I finally left and was so much happier with my career after I did so.

I love "The Home Show". I almost feel like the idea could have been enough for a whole sketch, but it works nicely as a crapshot as well.

And finally something that not everyone might agree with: Jin-Roh: The wolf brigade . I'll just paste a synopsis because I don't know of any better way to explain it: The film follows Kazuki Fuse, a member of a special police unit during the alternate history 1950s Japanese riots. Failing to follow...

Sounds good. A lot of people all ready recommended what I would mention, so these might appeal to you less or might be better once you've gotten into the media. Recommendations: I would really second (third? fourth?) the rec for Cowboy Bebop. I can't say more about it than what's all ready been said...

I do have a recommendation after this, but I think I want to comment on the recent discussion. I think what it boils down to is, from what I've read, people are giving suggestions as to what they think fulfills your requirements and some of the responses are essentially, "Thanks, but I don't wa...

Well, it was named after my kitten who at the time kept gorging himself on my chocolate mousse. And then throwing up. I actually would say that moose meat would probably have been better for his digestion.
