Re: AnoAni – Summer 2017 - Seasonal Anime Roundup
I haven't fully explored what I might watch, but I'm definitely set on more Sakura Quest, and New Game S2. I tried watching A Centaur's Life, as my taste in those shows seems to mirror Beej's somewhat. I couldn't get through the second episode. I just couldn't stand the whole world view it presents....

Re: Putting Anime into your Eyes
Thanks for the link. It's a bit awkward for my purposes here since its a search engine, but could come in useful in the future general series recommendations. I was thinking it would be useful for people who aren't in the same region as people making recommendations to see where to stream things. I...

If you reside in the US, Canada, UK, or Austrailia, because.moe is really useful to see if something is available to legally stream in your region.

I played a bit back when it had its open alpha/during the beta. I was pretty bad, but I liked playing as PUP. It likes to take people for walkies :3

Pandemic would work pretty well. You could also add ~18 AFK sessions by grabbing Pandemic Legacy instead.

Re: AnoAni - Winter 2017
I haven't been watching many shows from this season, just Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid and Interviews with Monster Girls. The former is what I'd expect from a KyoAni production, which is to say really good. The latter started off promising, but episode 7 left me unable to recommend it to anyone. It ...

Re: AER Pre-release - How'd you do?
I had a very interesting time at prerelease. I went 0-3-0, yes I drew every single one of my games. I thought the shorthand was usually Wins-Losses-Draws. I went 2-0-1 with my Green Black counters deck, splashing white for my promo, Oath of Ajani, and Ajani himself. Other highlights in my deck were...

Re: SpellCasters
I'm a really big fan of Heroes of Might and Magic, so here are a few spells based on theirs, sans flavour text. I'm assuming all spells are meant to be used in a combat situation, and that there's no movement in combat. Bless/Curse - Target does maximum/minimum damage for [duration based on spellcas...

I heard a leak saying the Steam winter sale is starting on the 22nd. In light of that, I've been thinking about how I'm going to limit my spending during this year's Steam winter sale. I think I'm probably getting some gift cards, so I'll spend those on myself. For anything else, I'm planning on onl...

Re: What Does Your Username Mean to You?
The first username I stuck with between more than one website was mocliamtoh. What can I say, I was really uncreative when coming up with email addresses. In 2009, I started watching people from Speed Demos Archive stream speedruns, and that name was annoying because people would inevitably stumble ...

Re: Talking Simulator
One topic that I don't think has been talked about on this show that I think is fascinating is the blend of mechanics and narrative. More specifically, how mechanics can help the narrative. One great example of this that I would love to see Alex and Cam play is "Brothers: A tale of two sons&qu...

Just wanted to thank Beej on his recommendation of Fukigen na Mononokean. Started watching it and I am very much hooked. Re: LRR is starting to lose me
I've been happy with the content as is, but I found I didn't enjoy this year's cH episodes as much as last year's. I think at least part of it is the lack of a B plot. I can understand taking them out, since it basically doubles the workload, but I was wondering if this was a conscious decision for ...

Re: KLD Pre-release - how'd you do?
I don't know how much I like this set. I went 1-0-2, with GW playable stuff. No synergy at all. Promo was Aetherstorm Roc, but since I didn't have many energy cards, I couldn't use its ability much. I also had a Multiform Wonder. It held the board for me, but I just found myself wishing I had Ripari...

Re: The General Magic: The Gathering Thread
I had a lot of fun at my prerelease. It was actually my first one, and in some ways, I found it harder than drafting. I think I just do better when I have less in front of me at a time, than trying to come up with something from 6 packs. I went 2-2, but I'm not sure I could have gotten a more exciti...

Re: Computer buying advice time (again, maybe)
Good attitude to have. The stock cooler that came with my CPU only barely kept it under 70°c, but since I switched to an aftermarket one, it hasn't gone above 45°c. Also the aftermarket one is nearly silent. Just curious, what CPU did/do you have? On my last CPU, a 2500k, I had to use the stock coo...

Re: Computer buying advice time (again, maybe)
Depending on what you want to do, I'd recommend against the i7. The difference between it and an i5 is primarily hyperthreading, which is like adding pseudo cores. For games, most don't make use of all 8, so for the most part, it's wasted performance. I also don't believe in "future proofing&qu...

Blizzard put out a video about some of the changes they're making to competitive mode from the beta . The changes should be out by the end of June.
