Re: Crapshot 538
I want Feed Dump back for the nostalgia... but I like the Panalysts. Well, I like it except for the intro/outro. Those give me some sort of weird visceral reaction that I don't like and I don't know why. It's bad, and I can't explain it. :-( *SPOILER* Well besides the graphic design, the modificati...

Re: Fight the Future 25 - Turbo Kid
A small correction for this last LRRCast; Michael Ironside is not in any of the Robocop films.

Re: LRRcast - Workplace Accidents
Good podcast on what (someone else noted) is an evergreen topic. To Alex, regarding table saws. It's good to have a healthy respect for them. I don't know if you realize this, but on modern ones there is a circuit that if any part of your body contacts the blade, the motor shuts off and an eletro-me...

Re: Fight the Future 13 - Uglies
Another very good and interesting podcast folks. I think the author spun his story off of this episode of the Twilight Zone; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_12 ... t_Like_You It's a goody and I recommend watching it. I wouldn't call the books story a direct "steal." However there are ...

Re: Fight the Future 08 - A Boy And His Dog
Though, if you keep in character with a lot of the women in question, the image of Albert getting constantly beaten down has its upside... Well, if enough of that would happen I would see two possible outcomes; 1) Albert/Sherman gets continually smacked around by people (women and men) with superio...

Re: Fight the Future 08 - A Boy And His Dog
@mutant_pie That is amazing! I just watched Mr. Peabody and Sherman, so I can picture it. "Now pay attention Albert, you're about to meet one of the greatest minds in history." " Aw hell, Blood, I don't care about any Leonardo Da Vinci! Find me a woman!" Thanks for the complimen...

Re: Fight the Future 08 - A Boy And His Dog
After spending way too much time thinking about it, it seems that A Boy and His Dog could be considered an attempt at making a hard SF version of Mr. Peabody & Sherman. You know, just without the time traveling, and in the distopian future.

Paul & Dan, thanks for creating enjoyable & thought provoking podcasts! Also, I'm sure that some of your younger audience members appreciate that you are offering Young Adult fiction, but never talk down to that potential audience. For this service I think that you should be up for some sort...

Also you do not have the right to conceal your identity in public and it is against the law. You absolutely have the right to conceal your identity in public... Apparently we were both partially correct and incorrect. The correct answer in the USA is; It depends on which state you are in. But the b...

Re: CC - Aliens
I worked onset and offset on Alien Resurrection (#4 in the series). It was troubled onset. At the time as fan of the series and related things, I had looked at the comic books by DarkHorse. They directly lifted scenes and story elements from the comic book for this film, but not the "heart"...

Re: Fight the Future 10 - Little Brother
One theme that was apparently in the book, echoed by the hosts of the podcast, and is somewhat mirrored in these and other discussions of related topics of government surveillance are some assumptions about ideas of privacy that aren't reflected in the law of the USA. In the USA you have no legal ex...
