Re: Standard Discussion
One card I'd have in this deck is Silent Skimmer. effectively a 6/4 flier when ass form comes out.

Question: Calcification doesn't mean that Ulamog has taken everything from the area, just that he's passed over it and corrupted it. The land still wants to give strength to things, but since it's been corrupted by the Eldrazi, it only helps Eldrazi. Flavor Text: And just when the Zendikari had worn...

Idea for standard: Ass form, a bunch of 0 power Abzan creatures, and the enchantment that gives your creatures skulk. Someone brew this.

Question: The Eldrazi predate colored mana, as far as we know. The devoid Eldrazi in BFZ and the colored ones in ROE are mutations from Zendikari consumption, as far as I can figure, and other colorless items also resonate with their ancient magics. See also molten nursery. Flavor Text: "It sat...

I'm all for dead horse beating :P Question: Because it's too slippery for the normally very careful and planned blue mages to target with its spells. He's a wrestler, those guys resist blue magic usually. Or, the piercings in his chin are the protection generators. Take your pick :P Flavor Text: &qu...

I'm looking into trying to brew up a standard WB lifegain deck for my girlfriend that could be FNM competitive. Any suggestions? I want to top the curve at 4 for Cliffhaven vamp and Drana's pridemate.

Re: Standard Discussion
I like the Vessel here - there are a number of pieces and factors required for this combo to come together, the Vessel helps with them all. I'd also like Ayli in this deck - she's a great plan B use of Tree if you just need to gain 13 life and Vindicate some things, and she blocks well enough to ke...

Re: Standard Discussion
The vessel is for delerium and to fuel the soul separator. If I don't have a triskai, it's easier to kill someone at one life than at 13, but if you have a better option, I'd seriously love to hear it.

Re: Standard Discussion
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/13-branches-to-hang-from/ There's the decklist as it stands currently. I don't think I have enough creatures to benefit from Ass Form too well, especially since it would hinder one of them, but it's supposed to get death touch, so I don't know that it matters too much...

An update from the Iron Gods campaign that I'm running: My party has discovered that mind control is super useful. First, they used it to take over a drug den that supplies the king with addictive fluids, then they went to a black market for technology run by a man with 6 bodyguards. The book didn't...

Question: Well, first of all, Emeria seems to refer to the Kor God, the region, and Emrakul, so all of those seem to have flying in common, so yeah. Flavor Text: "The divine chariot is light enough that a bird could pull it." Question: What happened to the Fire-field ogre? Flavor Text: Clo...

Re: Predictions for eldritch moon (spoilers?)
I know for a fact this won't happen, but I'd love for the resolution to this block to be someone fetching Garruk, pointing him at Emrakul, and telling him that she's a Planeswalker.

Question: Sensei Golden-Tail is a VERY good sensei.
Flavor Text: "To reach Konda, you must pass me. You shall not pass me."
Question: What actually happens with Eldrazi Conscription? We've seen eldrazi possess people, like Kalitas, but this seems different.

Insane EDH question: Planeswalker on the field, mycosynth lattice, and march of the machines (with a pump for my lands, of course, so they don't die.) I then put a +1/+1 counter on the planeswalker with Experiment Kraj. Does Kraj now have the planeswalker abilities?

Re: Getting into modern, need advice
1 of craterhoof behemoth is probably really expensive, they were a lot cheaper when they came out, but it'd give you a really nice finisher if your Ezuri died. They cost the same roughly as one of your CoCos, so you could take that out for it.

Question: This card actually refers to Plato's, I think, theory of the ideal, in that there's an ideal form for everything, from chairs to people, and everything on earth is just a reflection or image of it.
