Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 2
Wow, there's a lot to absorb here! Firstly, Robo. It just seems so weird to me the way he's going about it, coming forth about the relationship with Smeghead (which strikes me as an unintuitive play whether mafia or town, but probably skewed to town). Then the role confusion, which could be just mis...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 2
I... The initiate isn't on the list of roles. That means either you are lying by role claiming as the initiate, that the list of roles we were given is incorrect, or that you're the initiate and also something else. I don't trust Jamfalcon or MetricFurlong at all, and I don't know ]what to think of ...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 2
I think in a group this small it's unlikely that there's a vigilante/serial killer, and with only one death overnight I think it's pretty safe to assume no vigilante until proven otherwise. I'm puzzled by your choice to come forward with that, Robo. To start with, if you were watching the thread but...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
So, are we definitely going forward with the BFZ league? If so we should make a definitive start time to have our decklists in.
If not, I'm joining a queue anyway.

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 2
Until you retracted it as soon as you were the only person left casting it, anyway. Funny how the sudden loss of anyone else you could have blamed changed things, isn't it? :P Sure, it could have been the fact that Robo spoke up (thus no longer making him the lone quiet one) and we were running out...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 2
I can't speak to anyone else's logic, but the reason why I cast a lynch vote for Robo instead of saying "eh, two is probably good enough" is simply that I wanted to indicate that I stood by my argument. It's easy to say "yeah, that's probably the right decision", but I didn't wan...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 1
Change vote: No one I no longer think Robo4900 is more likely than anyone else to be a good target, but I don't like the idea of doing nothing. At the same time, I don't like the idea of extending the day again at this point, because I don't know what we're extending it "for", as such. If...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 1
(I believe editing is not allowed but retracting/changing votes after they have been cast is okay. So you would have been fine to post a reply changing your vote, for future reference.)

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 1
I mean, under the circumstances, there's only a small chance that Robo is mafia, and their absence doesn't change much as far as voting goes because we don't need a majority, but I stand by that they're not adding anything by being absent either. That's one less person to theorise, and if they have ...

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 1
I was starting to think maybe I'd fire off a vote for them if I hadn't heard from them by the original 72 hour mark. I'm fine with 12 - 24 hours from now.

Re: Fantasy Mafia: Day 1
I get the point both ways, really. I don't love the idea of doing nothing on day 1 for reasons that I have described at length in the past, but in a game where one vote vs. no votes is sufficient for a lynch... I'm not saying we can't still do it, but we need to tread much more carefully about it. R...

I can't help but notice that Jamfalcon is clearly a werewolf. Look at that little werewolf face.
...What was that? Oh. We're hunting for wereweagles. Alright. I'll accept that. For now.

16 points. They all enter at the same time and see each other enter, so each one will trigger for itself and for each other Ally.

I'm in also, but as a followup to korvys's question: without knowing specifically what those win conditions are, this is a difficult question to ask (i.e. the answer may become apparent once we see our win conditions), but if we make a move that doesn't appear to you to further our win condition but...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League
I'm sorry, I thought AdmiralMemo had volunteered or I would have said something sooner. Being so close to the BFZ prerelease it would be great if we can get it together to finish it off but if you can't then maybe we should wait for the launch of Zendikar?

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
When Banishing Light leaves the battlefield, whatever is exiled under it returns to the battlefield. So, yes, Narset comes back, and enters with 6 loyalty, same as she would if she entered the battlefield from anywhere.

Actually, no. Though I do know the type you're talking about and definitely know people like that (I overheard a guy bragging that his sealed deck was obviously better and his assessment of card quality higher because he listened to the set review; so did I, buddy, but that doesn't mean I have infin...

That is in fact exactly what I told him so that is encouraging. I was very confident yesterday when this happened but then when I was backtracking over it today I was suddenly thinking "I know the general thrust of what I said was correct (that is, I know I correctly told him after, no and no) ...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
In the first of the cases, the TO referred the guy to me, so that would get awkward! What I did the first time was explain it again in detail in case I just hadn't explained it thoroughly and caused confusion the first time. The second time I asked him if it was okay if I bring it up on my phone to ...

Re: Magic the Gathering: Ask a Judge
So what's the protocol if you're a rules adviser and the store doesn't have a judge so you're sort of the best they have but people (okay, one guy) keep arguing with you about the rules because "that's not how I read that card"?

Re: Bbattle for Zendikar Prerelease
Came fourth on day 1 with W/U colourless tempo. Did much more poorly on day 2 (2-2, somewhere in the middle of the room) with W/R allies. I think W/B would have been stronger but it "felt" very similar to what I'd played day 1 and I felt like being contrary. 3 expeditions were cracked at m...
