Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

Given the kind of crazy huge projects that the more hardcore Minecraft crowd dream up, I suspect that Mojang Support's definition of "big" animal farms is probably something orders of magnitude greater than all the current players on our realm combined currently have. Like, they're probabl...

Re: General LRL Stream Feedback

I get the same problem actually. In some of the earlier timezones, (looks like Tantusar's the same as me at GMT+10), the day highlighted on the calendar page is one day behind what day it currently is here. For example, I'm posting this message at local time of just before 4am on Sunday, but the cal...

Omega Lairon productions presents...

I've never been good at self-promotion... I never had much reason to practice at it, so I never got a good feel for where that line between "acceptable" and "annoying and rude" is. I feel that there might be some messy self esteem issues at play too... like, "am I interestin...

Re: LRR Community Streamer

Couple small announcements: I guess at this point it's been a long time since I've had a regular stream, so unsurprisingly, I'm just going to go ahead and cancel my regular time slot on the calendar. If it gets to a point later on in my life where I can get the free time to stream regularly again, I...

abanytar (venerable_bede) 2 - 0 Omega Lairon ggs, friend! In game 1 all the card draw in the world couldn't help Omega Lairon deal with the Profane Prince. Game 2 I got delirious and was able to outrace an Elusive Tormentor. Gah! I knew I've been forgetting something - the after action game reports...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League

Omega Lairon [2-1] Hacofo Game 2 started off fairly low key - we both had a slow build up of troopers trading blows and holding the line. As the turns rolled on though, the werewolf pack came out to play, and gradually poured on enough damage to get the job done. Lastly, in game 3, the team finally...

Do the VS AI modes. ...Wait, this is an option? My brain doesn't let me do online competitive stuff - it took me long enough to conquer it enough to play along in the LRR MTGO fandraft, and even still I have some rough days with it. Getting better though, slowly... this one time a few weeks back I ...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

any recommendations on where I can find a suitable unclaimed desert to build in? You're in luck - there are a few deserts to the east that might work for you. From spawn, take the south road, and then the east fork. You'll come across a desert a few 100 blocks down the road, and while it *does* hav...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League

Omega Lairon [2-0] SaloAbraxas So, if I'm honest, black just really wasn't working for me with this pool... it's fun and potentially powerful, but it's just not the style of MTG I can make the best use out of. So I tore it all down and rebuilt the deck from scratch. Preliminary results are... favou...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

Was there a server roll-back recently? I seem to have lost the better part of an hour or so's work on the North road. Not the worst setback from a numbers perspective, but it's seriously torpedoed my motivation for the project in the short term. So for now, the road is on hold until I can work up th...

Re: The thread of win

Whenever I'm driving, generally either one of two things are playing - my "endless loop" CD of "Bonetrousle" from the Undertale soundtrack for shorter trips, or the local "classical music and maybe some jazz" radio station (TL;DR - it's inoffensive and easy to not pay a...

Omega Lairon [0-2] DeathNDecay (Allenzo) One thing I'm noticing about playing a very black / "graveyard matters" deck is that I tend to get a bit too fancy with throwing away dudes on bad attacks or blocks, not really stopping to consider that yes, I *could* make use of some secondary eff...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

Omega, if you were looking for another Road project the Northern one is in need of becoming an actual road. I went through and made it at least a one block wide path all the way up to my place (not sure if anyone else is up here) but my path finding was probably terrible and calling it an actual Ro...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

Subsequently to that news, I have the much more dull announcement that (barring a few cosmetic touches and some missing fencing [I don't have much/any of the required oak wood]) The S-E road is now COMPLETED, at least as far as current growth/bases is concerned. THE ROUTE: This road forks out from t...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

As far as something in the nether tunnels pointing towards spwan... normally I'd suggest just heading towards the beacons, but some portals are pretty friggin' far out there such that you can't see the beacon light until you've been walking a while (potentially the wrong direction). And/or people so...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

It's not much, but whatever diorite I have is free to anyone who can be assed coming over to the Safari Zone to get it. On that note... the S-E road now reaches as far as my territory (with my usual caveats of "needs torches and prettier bridges"), so stop by whenever. One brief note is th...

Re: New Vanilla 1.9 Server!

There is an offshoot here that goes EAST. This road leads to Sky_Rider's build, and will eventually lead onwards to Omega_Lairon's build and Seirhune's Court.. Got an update on the S-E road: I've extended the path proper out a short ways from Sky's place towards the village at (roughly) 640, y, 180...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League

Throwing my two cents into the ring. When you feel that your pool is super weak and their is nothing you can do, that sucks. However buying additional packs every two losses seems a bit silly since statistically most of us will go 4-4, resulting in two additional packs. Sometimes weak sealed decks ...

Re: SoI Prerelease - How'd You Do?

Went to a couple of events today. On the whole, good times were had, but there were a few small annoyances. The big one is that of the 8 rounds, *half* of them were just off-the record fun games since my official opponents had dropped out without bothering to inform the store owners. It's like... I ...

additional: I have plans for a road to go further east from near where Seirhune has their mines, past Sky_Rider19, the Village and on to Omega_Lairon's Safari Zone, and maybe to other builds in the area. This is, however, lower on my list than current roads. I can probably assist on parts of the ea...

also how did the freerunners work out for you? asking b/c I haven't had a lot of luck with them in other sealed events on mtgo. Re: Loading Ready Sealed League

With the "2 losses = extra pack" thing, I'm not entirely sold on the idea. I guess it might just be that it felt like the bulk of my losses ended up being down to just unlucky draws or opponents countering well and being in a position to follow up. Basically, problems that wouldn't really ...

Re: Loading Ready Sealed League

Auserker [0 - 2] Omega Lairon Some solid matches to end out the league. There was a spot of mana stalling on the opposing battlefield for game 1, but it really is a testament to their deck's staying power that there was still plenty of fierce resistance. Game 2 was a bit more even, I did manage to ...
