Re: What has happened to LRR?

Cake! :D Y'know, it's weird, I was just thinking about you a day or so ago and wondering how you were doing. (You probably don't even remember me; I was just starting out on these forums when you left.) How ARE you?

Re: This thread is so gay

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't think I've ever actually met anyone of my own orientation in person. Isn't that weird? Then again...I don't usually think of it that way, because of the internet. Which is a good thing, I guess?

Re: This thread is so gay

Showing my ignorance, I'm not even sure what it means to be a het ace. Does that imply someone is hetero-romantic? Or just entirely asexual and aromantic? If just asexual and aromantic, would that be the same as homo ace (that... sounds wrong. Hom ace?)? I'm guessing there's no straightforward answ...

Re: This thread is so gay

I also feel that one of the major reasons why asexuals might be looking to be included in LGBT spaces is that, to be quite honest, there aren't a whole lot of us out there. I can easily picture a college asexual group that would just be one or two people out for coffee once a week or something. Even...

Re: This thread is so gay

Personal verbal tic. Sorry. And sentence structure seems to fly out of my head when I'm tired.

I guess I don't understand your question. Nouns are labels. This is how language works. 'Giraffe' and 'burrito' are technically labels. Should we stop classifying things as giraffes and burritos?

Re: This thread is so gay

..Yes? But at that point you kinda need a word to use, so. But, when you're talking about groups of people in general, it helps to have something to refer to that specific group of people as , which can become kind of difficult if that specific group keeps changing based on circumstances like who wa...

I can gather today, too! (was just thinking about this!) And skype's definitely easiest for me, but I'll go with the group, definitely.

Re: Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle

That works for me! Thank you, Deedles! Although I'm kind of sad I won't be around to meet you, Minnichi, as I'll probably have to head to bed about an hour before that since I have work the morning after. Crossing my fingers that it does work out as a semi-regular/regular thing, though!

Re: Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle

Shoot, somehow my brain glitched on Minni's hours. *Tries to think of something?*

Well...does someone who thinks they'll be around three or so hours after start want to host the call when it starts? That way Minnichi would be able to jump on if the group's still going strong at midnight. <3

Re: Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle

So it looks like we're headed for this. (aka 9pm Toronto, 8pm central US.) With BlueChloroplast coming in around the end of April. Does that look okay for everyone? An last minute objections, because this is going WAY too easy? :D

Ugh, early morning classes. I can't remember which I hated worst, those or the late at night ones where I was too tired by then to pay attention.

Re: Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle

Yessssssss. :D And delirium makes for the best dancing, Elomin! So, Tuesday nights/Wednesday mornings (depending on time zone) are out, And I'd prefer not to do Wednesday night/Thursday morning. That leaves Monday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Does anyone have a preference? Friday/early Saturday, to...

Re: Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle

Hmmm, so so far it's looking like starting around 12:30-1am GMT on a weeknight? Or I could go way earlier on Saturdays, if that's too late for the Europe people? Would that work for you, Fayili?

Also, as far as I'm concerned, making videos and writing are totally crafts. ^.^

Re: Help with Baulder's Gate

Well, if Baldur's Gate enhanced is anything like the original, it basically uses--iirc--a pared down version of the Dungeons and Dragons 2.0 ruleset. Where's it tripping you up?

Interested in starting/joining an online crafting circle?

Starting a new thread seemed easier than continuing on in the general chat thread...especially after I dropped the topic for a week. :P Anyway, I'd had the thought that maybe it would be fun and a good way to get to know each other if once a week, perhaps, a group of us could sit and do our respecti...

It's so weird. I know how the illusion works, I know the dress is blue and black, I've seen the other angle pictures of it, but I just somehow cannot see it as anything other than white and gold.

Re: The General Chat thread

Just out of curiosity, would anyone be interested in starting an online crafting circle? Just, like, a once a week spot where we all just sit and chat over skype or google hangouts while doing crafts.

Sooooo did we skip 219 for some reason? It just goes from 218 to 220 on the website. Is 219 the new 13, superstition-wise? MOST BUILDINGS DON'T HAVE A 219TH FLOOR. THIS CAN'T BE COINCIDENCE. :P

Are there such things as Love Songs that are about sibling love rather than romantic? "Blue Ridge Mountains" by Fleet Foxes comes to mind. "Sean don't get careless, I'm sure it'll be fine / I love you, I love you, oh brother of mine." On a different note, has anyone else noticed...
