First of all, a good moderator doesn't "call someone out for being a dick" based solely on not liking someone's stance on social issues and then lock the thread. A good mod locks a thread when it's getting out of hand and says "this is getting out of hand" and locks it.

Secondly, I've been trying not to say this for the past couple of weeks now, but this new little thread you're tugging on? This "don't you realize everyone hates you and wants you gone?" Thread? Without dragging anyone else into this, do you realize how many discussions there have been about wanting you out for some of the things you've done? I mean you have said somethings that have really, really pissed a lot people off on a personal level.

Difference between you and me? I generally find it to be in bad form to bring things like that up. But if you're going to? Well, there it is.

I know where I stand here. There are people that wish I would disappear, and for most of them, the feeling's pretty mutual. That's an inevitable part of having a strong personality. Anytime you stand out, no matter why you stand out, there will always be people who hate you. So be it.

But I've also got friends here. I've left a number of times; not out of anger but because real life got busy and I just never found the time. Know what I heard every time? "We miss you. It's not the same without you. Come back." Made me feel damn good.

I've spent a lot of time on forums, Bedmon. A lot of time. I've made a lot of mistakes, but I've learned a hell of a lot of lessons about them. And one big lesson I learned: (well, one lesson that I always knew, was never dumb enough to mistake, but has been repeatedly confirmed for me) never presume to speak for the forum. You think I'm a jerk. Oh well. You want me gone. Oh well. You say the forum doesn't want me here? That is not for you to say.

He got his name due to his strange ability to just appear silently out of the blue and scare his friends without meaning to. When he told me this I laughed at him becuase yeah right, a 6'4' black man his size "sneaking" up on people.

And then A WILD WRAITH APPEARS. And scares the shit out of me every couple of days. He even manages to come home from work through the door silently, and that door is NOT quiet.

The theme has been continues since. Not quite so blatantly, but there have been repeated implications that nobody likes me; which, again, is not his call to make. He doesn't like me. And that's fine.
