Shit.

Yeah. Still, it doesn't come up often. And it is very Resident Evil.

You're forgetting the obligatory sequential light based puzzles.

Now with accidental AI death :(

Yeah, what's up with that?
I think she's been ret-conned to a dirty blond.

biggest lawls moment for me in RE5...

I was cranking up a bridge for my friend to walk through and then I went and let go of the lever and dropped my friend off the bridge without warning...

that may not sound funny, but you absolutely had to be there.... it was lawls

I was on the receiving end of that earlier today in fact.
Even though I fell to my death, it was still lawls.

Actually right after the boss with U-8 (The big crab/spider thing on the elevator) there is a document you can read on the computer that explains that one of the side effects of the experiments being done on her was a significant paling of her skin and hair.

You just have to think of her as Lady Wesker.

Well, then, that solves that, no qualms with resident evil 5, I'm gonna keep rocking that shit, safari anyone?

Edit: actually wait she had blond hair in the flashback with Chris and Wesker.

After failing to unlock the character in the mercenaries so I could verify it first hand.. I'm just going to fall back on kotaku (spoilers within, I guess)
The flashback had a weird filter on it and her hair really wasn't visible in decent lighting until near the end.. and only for a second.

I just beat it. I don't see how they're going to continue the series, and I think the plot was on the wrong side of stupid, but man, that was a good coop game. Especially the last boss fight, which was probably the greatest use of coop ever.

They're not planning to continue this story arc, so that's why it felt final.
The next RE game will be a new cast/story.

Also, the plot wasn't that stupid all things considered. Accept that it's essentially a zombie movie and there you are (we're not talking epic character development here).
Maybe I'm just having way too much fun playing the game to care, quite honestly. Maybe the plot is crap. Doesn't really bother me.
I did like how all the documents tied all the games thus far together.

Oh man, Joshua, "Safari" is dope. In my current playthrough, Chris looks like a Club-Hopping Jungle Pimp™ and Sheva is a backup dancer on Soul Train.

I've heard RE6 was going to be a reboot in some capacity. That's good news. The series was getting ridiculous but the only thing that I lament about it as a whole is that they never had a game where all the major players were in the plot at once.

The problems I have with the story are elevating Wesker to epic villain status (Revolver Ocelot syndrome), establishing in the first few minutes of the game that Jill was 'killed' between games (I generally boycott any story that uses flashbacks to reveal important plot points), and introducing Sheva when they already have a wealth of characters that they could use (like, say, Jill that would have let the player not playing Chris feel less like "the second player"/sidekick). That's not to say Sheva was a bad character, I liked her a lot. It feels like she's just there for the same reason Howard Stern has Robin Quivers.

great game, kinda wished I played it through on veteran first though. I think it probably had the best story of any RE game so far and the cut scenes were reminiscent of devil may cry 4. that's capcom for you.

anyone have any thoughts on them offering the dlc multiplayer? i'm not really buying the "server costs" argument.

That's fair. I actually grew to quite like her over the course of the game, but if it's about rescuing Jill, I think Rebecca would have been a better choice.

And when in the hell does Barry get his own game? That dude's badass.

QFT. He saves your ass in RE3 and he doesn't even get a full appearance or talked about, maybe he just packed up and went back to his wife and kids and said forget it.

That would make him the smartest character in the series.

Another lawls moment I must mention

Me and my friends first encounter with the tribal zombies with crossbows

Me:Hurry up and go
Him:They have those crossbows
Me:Big whoop we have these BIG GUNS all they have are those crossbows
*Tribal Zombie fires off exploding arrows*
Us:Shit they have exploding crossbows bolts all we have are these guns....

I still call bullshit on these tribal zombies with their jumping 100 feet into the air and their exploding crossbow bolts.

I played through this game with a friend and I only ever used a handgun or a special weapon if the need was to arise, my friend however looked like a one man army, he had assault rifles, shotguns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers. I like being able to play the entire game using only a pistol.

I can't imagine going through the game with just a pistol

what gun would you use if you needed to stun an enemy when you had to split up from your partner?

I'm not sure what you mean by stun the enemy, I just shot them all.

EDIT: got the "Be the knife" achievement, not as hard as you might expect.
