One presumes Christmas. The market only opens once one of the volunteers has chance to process and upload the stats, if they don't get around to it, then the market remains closed. It doesn't matter because there doesn't appear to have been a FD this week.

if there had been a FD this week how would you track short selling?

Probably we'd just roll over to next week. (ie, just ignore this weeks FD)

In the past what has happened is the stats for the missed week have been loaded in first, triggering the short selling. (Which you can see in the transaction history), then the stats for the next episode are uploaded unlocking the market again. It does mean that for a week you are unable to respond to market changes and anything could happen to your shares.

However it is important to remember that our hatisticians are volunteers who lead busy lives and sometimes it's easy to miss a week. Besides, if you go bankrupt you just start again, but Geoff gives you a nice Cardboard box with your name on it.

I'm going to be frank, I've lost a lot of interest in the hat market and now that we're what, 3 weeks behind... ugh. That's a lot of stats to grab.

I do feel bad because I started the chain of missing weeks, though, so I'll catch us up as well as do this week (which I think is mine).

"Good reasons" being that I forgot the hat market was on the lrrcraft domain. I let lrrcraft.com expire because the minecraft server was shut down, so why bother spending $10 on it?

And since nobody contacted me, I didn't think to move everything over. http://hats.fugiman.com/ is the new domain.
