Oh, I know how I won (simply surviving), but I still really don't know what happened, even after the turn break-down.
1. I clearly had no idea how to play a "neutral" if you couldn't tell, so I tried to play more towards "town" since I had no inside information.
2. I was quite confused by some of the idiosyncratic speech of some of the players.
3. While I had strong suspicions early on that JackSlack and Tapir12 were Mafia, I have no idea how I was completely fooled by Jamfalcon, since I thought he was clearly a Townie.
4. I have no idea how I completely misread Preacher, who I thought was clearly Mafia. I was going along the lines that Duckay was Mafia, too.
5. I didn't want to "investigate" anyone, but was semi-forced into it by everyone else. I saw it was a trap from the beginning, and might only "work" well on Night 1. Usually, the games I've played end up with a "No Lynch" on Day 1 anyway, so "Investigating" on Night 1 at least gets us some information to go on.
6. I made some clear mistakes, due to a failure to understand some things. This is most evident in my accusations of Duckay and Conoros after they were already cleared.
7. Preacher: Why on earth did you think I was the night killer? Or was that just a ruse?
All in all, while I wouldn't say it was a "bad" experience, I didn't have any "fun" playing this round, and it just lead to a bunch of confusion and misunderstandings for me.

I apologize for that. For future reference (and this is for everyone who might have gotten confused), you're welcome to get in touch with me if there are any questions. I'm willing to answer anything I can without giving out strict information.
The Preacher situation was likely due to the fact that, when it was clear to him Jam was the mafia, he assumed you had to have some kind of kill role. No kill role had been put forward (again, Duckay had been revealed as a vanilla town due to her ability). He knew that he wasn't a kill role. So it only makes sense from his perspective that you had to have some kind of killing ability.
For the investigations, part of the reason it felt so pushed was because the mafia agreed early on to push for investigations when possible. So it ended up being used as part of their strategy.
In terms of playing neutral, you did a fine job. The nice thing about that role is that you can team up with anyone you want, since you just need someone to win. I know I lean towards the town when I play that role. It's normally harder since usually people don't know if you're actually neutral, or a mafia member saying that you are.
In either case, I really am sorry you didn't enjoy yourself due to the confusion. I'll make sure to work on that as best I can next time.

Pretty much exactly what Kapol said. At that point I was under the assumption that you had a night kill ability, and that Jamfalcon was mafia. So I was going for a draw, rather than win.
As to you misreading me. I didn't post much, generally put forward confusing scenarios. So you probably just thought I was Mafia either through me lurking, or me putting forward useless information.
Do you guys mind. I'm trying to write an essay

I would've gotten in touch with you if I had even known what to ask. As I was so thoroughly confused, I didn't even know that much, nor what would have helped me better.
This game, to me, was just "things happening around me" which didn't feel like much as interaction as I would have liked in a game like this. I didn't have enough information to know who to "team up with" at any point. I didn't know for certain who was Mafia or Town (even after some revelations), so I didn't know which way to go with anything.
As I said, I still have no idea what happened, and that's really annoying. Can someone clue me in on what was going on, from start to finish? In plain English this time?
Urg... And now I've got a headache from trying to wrap my head around this...

Preacher blocked me three nights in a row? Dude, I thought we buried the hatchet!
Ah, who am I kidding? One, I was mafia, and two, I deduced Duckay was a killer (a touch too late!) simply because I knew if YOU were a killer, I'd be dead by now.
ps. Thanks, Ptang!

I'm not really sure what you mean by "plain English", but I can try.
Tapir12, Jamfalcon and JackSlack were mafia. I was town-affiliated but with a night-kill ability. You were neutral and your only win condition was to survive to the end. Everyone else was town-affiliated.
My only point of confusion was that after you were investigated and turned up neutral, you voted to lynch me for "accusing" you of being neutral. I then pointed out that the computer had confirmed you as neutral, and you backtracked. Obviously some misunderstanding happened there, but I don't know what it was.

We did bury the hatchet, I blocked you because I had a strong hunch you were evil

If it helps to know the reason, I put your name forward because you had been inoffensive and not made any enemies, so it wouldn't give any clues to our identities, and you were unlikely to be protected.
