Of course, no doubt you're thinking it's not much of a defense... And you'd be right. However, there is a big gap between a poor or jokey defense and no defense, and I just wanted to make it clear for anyone who had missed it that I had not been silent all along, especially since I was embarrassed about having slept through the second round of discussion.

It was about 12 hours since the commencement of further discussion, as I said directly in my post that you quoted? I'm not sure where we're misunderstanding each other. I'm also not sure where you're getting 2 days since my last post, since my review of the time stamps show that the gap between my two posts was about 26 hours, or just over a day?

ETA: My sincere apologies, I miscounted. It was 28 hours, for all that it matters, not 26.

A search of AdmiralMemo's quarters shows up nothing to show he was ever disloyal. You settle in for the night in the uncomfortable knowledge that you have condemned an innocent man.

You are all woken up suddenly in the morning by a echoing klaxon. You quickly assemble in the ship and find, to your horror, that someone released the oxygen seals on SilPho's room.
You quickly repair the damage but it's too late, SilPho is dead. A search of the room shows that SilPho was loyal to the Browncoats.
However a nearby diary shows that SilPho was actually a READER(Investigator), one of the strange folk who can read minds

DAY TWO BEGINS

With 9 crew remaining a vote of 5 is required for a lynch. You have 5 days to reach a decision

Gorram Alliance, they either know too much or got too lucky. We can't stop this ship for anything like a proper funeral, course, you all know that right? Worst part is, aside from this tragic death, if it wasn't an informed decision, I don't recall a lot of reason to target him. He was one of many that voted for Memo, and other than that had little to say.

Oh great, first off the bat is the investigator. I reckon this is more random luck than actual planning, how would they have managed to get any information on who/what he is on the first night

This ain't a good situation. But we sure as heck weren't about to give up at Serenity, and we ain't gonna give up now.

I have about as much of an idea as everyone else. I'm thinking back on yesterday's events, but nothing springs to mind as suspicious.

Ok, well the wait and see approach clearly isn't going to work any more.

In lieu of actual information, anyone got some folksy wisdoms we can apply to this situation? My Grandad used to say "At least the ducks are still flying", but I have no idea what that meant.

Alright, well I think the biggest question I have is what to make of Phailhammer, the so-called "defector". He was clearly pretty important to them if he really has decided to join us, but perhaps it was just a ruse to get us to make this trip and bring along one of their best trained infiltrators with a perfect cover. Maybe they thought we'd give him a free pass just because he seems almost too obvious a suspect.

But at the same time, I'd hate to put to death our valuable cargo on a hunch, and with our reader gone, we have no way of knowing for sure.

He's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Since all we have to work with so far is yesterdays voting, however, I would be very suspicious of those who were eager to throw our first mate overboard. I'd wager theirs a traitor amongst them, which gives us:

Duckay, Jack, Mums, romangoro and SilPho

Duckay's vote seemed retaliatory, but the others jumped on board very quickly.

With 11 players there are probably 3 or 4 baddies, and with two innocents lost that gives us 3 or 4 out of 9, which is not a good ratio. We need to make some progress today or we could be in big trouble.

Out of the five you mentioned, I consider Jack, Mums, and romangoro the most suspicious, if only just. I think Duckay's vote was more a reaction to Memo's accusations than anything else, and SilPho's out because...well...we all know why. All I know is it's not me, which admittedly isn't particularly useful information, as I have no way to prove it.

Yeah, you two have a point. Those that jumped onto the lynch so quickly after it was proposed do look a little bit suspicious in my eyes. Memo and SilPho need to be avenged and this threat needs to be stopped before it can take out any more of us. The real question is, which of the three is the most likely to be one of our traitors.
