I've talked to him about bringing it back but the main thing is the logistics of holding the numbers in order to make the graphs every week.

I should also mention that it won't be JackSlack doing the report. It'll be whoever was recording numbers that week.
Re: The Hat Market Game
Fuuuuuuuu....
I have been keeping stock in HATS for three weeks now, just waiting for the eventual resurgence.....
Thank goodness I have no confidence in the market, and have 600M in liquid.

Welp, I have nothing of value right now, but since I haven't shorted anything I should be good once the Hats return, right? Right??? Guys..., I'm right, no? Please tell me I'm not poor. How will I live without my solid gold yacht?

Yeah Dutch, you stocks will be there so long as you didn't short anything that needs to be bought back.
All problems can be solved by trebuchets and/or fire.

Re: The Hat Market Game
Yep, I'm busted too. I shorted Spec and went all in on hats, leaving nothing liquid. So when the system attempts to auto-sell my shares to pay back spec...I still won't have any money with which to do so. Unless someone wants to loan me 3 trillion dollars?

Yeah, I'm out this week. I just HAD to short spec again, didn't I?

Re: The Hat Market Game
If not for Hats going to 0, it would have been a massive gain. There's no way anyone could have foreseen this.

Re: The Hat Market Game
I'm kinda glad I left things exactly as they are. I've lost worth, but I have enough Liquid to keep me afloat.

I'd say nah. Let those who fail fail. Tis the cold, hard unreality of the hat market.

So for some reason the video wasn't playing for me and I was like OH NO WHAT AM I GOING TO DO but then I remembered I had other browsers. So yeah. Numbers are up, crisis averted, all that good stuff.

If anybody needs me, I'll be picking out some cheese from discarded pizza boxes. That'll make me feel better. If all else fails, just see me at my trailer.

Re: The Hat Market Game
@Fugi, if you want you can probably instute a system whereby people can borrow a 1000 bucks to start over from the top player. It's not as if I'm really going to notice a few thousand bucks going missing

From 3rd place to 2nd last place. Not only bankrupt, but I took the GDP of several medium sized nations with me.

Sold the bit of Face I had put aside for a rainy day. I think this counts as a rainy day.
Now I'm debating whether to short Nada this week. It's a risky proposition.

All those bankruptcies have pushed me into 8th place !!!
Although I think congrats are still in order for under_score that's an impressive gain

Re: The Hat Market Game
The "Buy All" button can actually cause you to lose money. I manually bought 23 shares of SPEC today. Had a small amount of money left over and decided to see what would happen if I clicked "Buy All", turns out it just sets your liquid to 0 in this case.
