Am I the only sky chair in North America, because there's an independence Day celebration going on in Philly for the rest of the day.

No I'm in the Northeast too, I'm running to Philly when I can.

And also cleaning up all these Moscow layovers I left in New York overnight... :)

Looks like there are 10 Sky Chairs making runs to Philly today. I'm currently #5, but the people ahead of me are really getting it done. Good work!

Because its easy to play, difficult to master, and has a very rapid but small reward structure. The problem is, I have only once thought "gee I wish I had more green things" so I am not incentivised to purchase, then again I may buy some just to say thanks for the game.

Today is Cape town on the southern tip of Africa, even if you aren't there you can easily buy Cape town, Port Elizabeth and Durban for under 30,000, then move a plane.

I did that, but the only people who want to go to Cape Town seem to be in New York. :(

I got my five but now no one else wants to go from southern africa. :(

EVERYONE in Europe wants to go, Paris London, and Berlin have 6 each, and each other city I own has one or two, but I cant afford to make that long of a chain. Especially not for such a small reward.

I finally figured it out. Recife to Kinshasa to Johannesburg and then have a little plane take them the rest of the way to Cape Town. I can get people there from all of my airports now.

I also wreck the value of my airline every time I close an airport (and I've closed a lot of them), but at least I'm contributing now.

You can close airports?

Also the person with 263 trips to the tip of africa... good on you.

Yeah, I've sold off most of my stage 1 planes (I kept a few, but not many), and I don't have anything in South Africa, so Cape Town is a pain in the butt to get too.

I wonder if it's even worth it for some of these things... I spent a ton of coins buying Chicago, New York, Boston, and Philadelphia yesterday to deliver as much as I could there, but our prize was, what, 10 Bux and a part for a really terrible "special" plane? And then I had to close all those airports.... I'm not sure some of these events are even worth it... (Also I've got 588 Bux saved up that I don't even have anything to do with... I need to be level 20 to start getting the good planes. :/) I'm only 3/4 of the way through 18. It's kind of a pain in the butt, honestly. I feel like the progression curve has kind of stalled.

I confess that I never bothered to rename any of my planes because I couldn't think of a good system. PL024 is fine. I tend to recognize them by the color anyway.

What do you do with planes you've decommissioned? I have ten planes in my hanger, but I'm not sure why. Maybe I should just scrap them for a little cash.

I just finished upgrading to all class two and closed down all my class one airports other than the world quest.

I kept 1 3 passenger and 1 3 cargo class 1 plane for the next world mission if its to a class one airport and scrapped the rest.

So, I've begun playing. I'm pretty sure I don't get it. I just ferry things around?

Bingo.

Try to develop a "hub" either your big starting city or any city in the middle, Do what you can to get full planes going to a city you get a 25% bonus for full planes to a single destination. Also, if a green ticket flight comes up, take it. tickets are the only way to buy new planes and you can "trade" them for 500 coins

JackSlack, yes basically.

While there exists the possibility for strategy, I refer to PP as a toy, not a game.

Thank you! That makes more sense of it to me. Treating it as a game, I couldn't see for the life of me the addictiveness people were describing. I liked it more than Tiny Tower, sure, I could understand entirely what I was doing here. But it was an amusing distraction at best.

Now that I understand it as more a toy, I'm treating it on that level and enjoying myself a lot.

Basically. And any strategy that does exist could easily be optimized by a computer program. Like, a computer could do better than I could at constantly checking for new cargo, loading it in, and routing an as-straight-route-as-possible when the plane is full.

There's a bit of strategy buying new planes and airports and such, and I think that's where the fun is.

Also I think the reason I'm very much enamored with the game is that I'm absolutely obsessed with world geography. If, instead of a map of the world, the game used a random, made-up map, I don't think I'd ever have played it at all.

San Diego is a bit of a longer campaign, so I'm going to divert most of my planes. I'm with Alex on his observation, I closed about four airports and opened up two on the West Coast of the US and the value of the events can be questionable. I was getting irritated with Magadan, there is nothing close to it :(

But I'm the most inefficient manager of my airline. I regularly burn through bux and coin. I need a better play style and strategy.

Sky Chairs is already ranking well in terms of this San Diego event!!
