Maaaaan... work has just been stupid busy this week. I arranged for a (mostly) off-the-grid weekend to recharge, but I completely forgot I still had a league match to do. Unfortunately, since I won't have any further access to MTGO until the next round starts (...theoretically... there's further complications on that front in the next paragraph) I'll have to lodge a "no contest" this week, with sincerest apologies to my opponent. Sorry friendo... hopefully I haven't wasted too much of your time.

MORE NEWS: I'm on temporary work assignment to Melbourne for a few weeks, so yeah... again with the "no MTGO" thing (or at very least, no *reasonably easy access to* MTGO). To make things simple, and so's I'm not tying up any other opponents in future rounds I will have practically 0% chance to participate in, consider me officially dropping out of the remaining rounds.

Man... life sucks sometimes : \

Hopefully my schedule clears up a bit more before Kaladesh drops... LRLeague is fun times.

No worries, friend. I have actually just made a move and did not expect to be without internet for more than a few days. I'm currently borrowing the faintest of signals from my neighbors, so I couldn't get a match in even if I wanted. Hopefully I can get my situation sorted out soon.

Hey Randus,
I don't know if we are counting bi's as wins, but if we aren't then my score needs to be adjusted. I've won 3 matches and was out for a bi one round.

yes - Bye's are marked as wins against a phantom player, just like in tournaments.

DeathNDecay 0-2 SaloAbraxas

Game 1 DeathNDecay was mana screwed pretty badly, and has I had a hand with a lot of answers that stopped them from being able to get anything going.

Game 2 was closer. I had a Nahiri die early on to help me stabilize the board. I flipped a Thing in the Ice just to have it killed the next turn. But I managed to draw into enough action to seal the game.

I'm really not used to playing with this kind of deck, but it just feels broken sometimes.

I will indeed be able to continue my participation in the league. Post-move stuff got a little hectic but I now have internet access once more. Huzzah!

Antitonic (JakeWaffleman) [2-1] AdmiralMemo (AdmiralMemo)

Fun fact: Red is a quite aggressive colour! That hand in game one was just fine-tuned for out-and-out aggro. GG's

Artirian_Legacy 0 - 2 Auserker

Game One I was able to get off to a very aggressive start, before Artirian_Legacy was able to stabilize on the back of a Mirrorwing Dragon, However I continued to draw my removal and combat tricks for the win.

Game Two started much slower, and once again I faced the Mirrorwing Dragon and w began to trade blows, until I was able to neutralize most of his board and swing in for the win.

Both games were fast paced and fun, a few draws either way and it would have been very interesting.

Randus2003 2-1 Zarbit

game 1 - the puppy agro was real.

game 2 - drawing a lot of land as they played remove and bomb after bomb....wasn't my best plan.

game 3 - took the early lead with tracker...they came back to even it up...but in the end Ms. Kord couldn't stop the puppy fury blow out attack.

abanytar (venerable_bede) [2-1] hacofo

ggs, friend! Thanks again for getting up super early to play our match!

Game 1 I got demolished by hacofo's superior curve and Inspiring Captain.

Game 2 saw Nahiri's Machinations come to naught in the face of snarling teeth and fur. I made the right call boarding out Triskadekaphobia.

Game 3 hacofo was unwilling to trade a Vildin Pack Outcast for my Incorrigible Youths, which meant I was able to awaken their Uncaged Fury to deal 10. The Skirsdag Supplicant drained away the last of hacofo's life for the win.

sorry pairings are up so late...between extra life (11am fri- 11am sun), the pre-pre-release going past midnight yesterday and work running late today, I didn't get a chance to post before now (unless I was going to try and work on no sleep last weekend). with that said if you need through Monday next week to set up a time to play go ahead.

My schedule is likewise going to leave me bereft of time, until hopefully Desert Bus, so I will unfortunately have to concede and drop from the remaining rounds. Which sucks, because I feel I was on a good run with my deck.

Randus2003 2/1 Artirian_Legacy

game 1: I got off to a good start but after snacking on Jace for a bit my puppies got real tiered....then their was that flying refection that final did me in.

game 2: after a mull and a flood I finally stabilized around 3 and slowly clawed back as my dogs brought them from 18ish to -18 (them flooding at the end helped me a bit too)

game 3: I had all the right cards at the right time making the game kinda 1 sided especially after I put an ax though their newly played reflective dragon followed up w/ my tracker engine it got roof quick 4 them.

DeathNDecay(Allenzo) [2-0] abanytar (venerable_bede)

ggs, friend!

Game 1 I had to mull to 4.

Game 2 I was still mad about mulling to 4 in the previous game. Did I mention I had to mull to 4? I was so mad that I missed my chance to double-block an Indulgent Aristocrat empowered by Blood Mist before things got out of hand. It was the thirsty vampire who could that won the day for DeathNDecay.

I also just want to put it out there - I think half our league is running R/B Madness.

AdmiralMemo 2-0 hacofo

Game 1: Aggro on my side, some blocks and removal on the other, but not quite enough.
Game 2: A real slug-fest going back and forth. VIP of the match: Sanitarium Skeleton as chump blocks and discard fodder for Haunted Dead. I just squeaked by and went just wide enough to come out with a win.

SOrry if this is a repost but the forums glitched out during my first post.
DeathNDecay 2 - 0 Auserker

Game 1: Worth opens up the floodgates and washes away Auserker's chances. That being said he held on for as long as he could and sorin nearly stabilized him.

Game 2: Worth activated balance and dried up the land.

Better luck next round! I am on a hot streak!

Depression causing lack of energy and forgetfulness, along with scheduling issues might prevent my game this week. I hope to get it done, but it's looking less and less likely. :-(

SaloAbraxas 2-0 Randus2003

game 1: they had all the burn at just the right time....1st to take out the mana dork that would let me chain 3 6-drops in a row then when I hit the vital land to kill/steal said 6-drops.

game 2: looked a lot more 1 sided (in there favor) than it actually was...it came down to me putting a rise in their hand (hoping they would play it after they attacked me down to 2) with me having 21 pts of damage going at them next turn...unfortunately thats not how it played out, instead they pointed all of their pent up anger at my head finishing me on the spot.

over all at least the games were fun.

Artirian_Legacy 2-0 abanytar

Game 1: We had board parity for the first few turns, then Jace came out and did his work until closing out the game with his ult, in tandem with a truly unfortunate mulligan from abanytar

Game 2: I had my answers right on time for abnytar's sadly few threats, then started smacking him with a dragon before melting his face off with a fireball

ggs, friend.

My favorite moment from chat was at the beginning of game 2 after I took a mulligan:

Artirian_Legacy: Good six?
abanytar plays Cryptbreaker.
Aritirian_Legacy: uuuuuuurgh
Artirian_Legacy plays Dual Shot.
abanytar: Boooooooo
