LoadingReadyNetRunners?

Postby aeric90 » 23 Sep 2013, 11:24

So I am almost completely obsessed with Android: Netrunner having been a fan of the original CCG back in the 90s and also a fan of the Android setting.

Is anyone else here playing this or interested in looking into it on OCTGN?

My only interaction with it has been the skits at the end of SUSD videos. I have no idea what it actually is.

I've played a couple games of Netrunner and liked it, but I don't have a copy myself.

I own the core set but I haven't been able to play it as much as I've wanted to. I might be interested but right now I have too much going on in my everyday activities to spend the time :(

OCTGN is a open source online card game platform. The coding isn't really well implemented (been thinking of reworking it myself) but it's serviceable and all the cards are proxies.

You can find instructions here: http://octgn.gamersjudgement.com/wordpress/anr/installation/

I played the card game back in the day, and I actually picked up a copy of Android: Netrunner yesterday. When I find some time, I will look into the OCTGN dealie.

I love netrunner as well. I've got OCTGN installed but it's just terrible to use (some things don't even work on it, I couldn't for the life of me get Modded to function properly)

Is anyone else TOTALLY stoked for the newly spoiled Weyland identity?

First and foremost I can call my deck Blue Sun's Zenith, which is going to make me very happy.

But secondly this card is perfect for the Amazon Industrial Zone deck I have ALWAYS wanted to make. Install a 3 cost ice, rez it for free, next turn bring it back and do it again. It's like playing a Beanstalk Royalties every turn!

Or better yet, install some kind of ridiculous ice like a Curtain Wall and then cheat-rez it with something like Oversight AI. 14 free credits? Yes please.
Look at the cards. LOOK AT THE CARDS!

Yessssssssssssss.

Completely obsessed with Netrunner. Just finished going to ALL THE TOURNAMENTS as the season just finished. Came 30th out of 66 in the Open Qualifiers before the UK Nationals, and got to watch a very tense final for that. Looking forward to playing some janky fun decks now though. At least until that super pretty Deep Red playmat needs winning.

I'm not a huge OCTGN player, but would be totally up for playing with any runners. I'll check my username and add it here later.

While it might be a thread necro, I can't be the only one who saw this preview from Worlds and starting doing a Checkpoint intro in my head, can I?
