You know a creature is big when turning it into a literal elephant is the preferable outcome.

So, am I the only one disappointed that it's just Pongify 3.0?

Honestly, I think i'd like it better if it actually was Pongify 3.0. As it is, you need to couple it with some other form of removal to make it work like Pongify, which means that you're always 2-for-1'ing yourself unless you do it in combat while also playing a big dudes deck. Also, it does nothing against creatures that get counters, aside from making them bigger in certain cases. All in all, it's probably okay in limited, but unless I needed iffy one drop removal, I'd stick with Reality Shift for standard.
