Glad to know that the first generation of AIs will have such familiar issues to the current generation of humans.

Who did the voice? I loved the effect you used for it.

That was clearly Cam's voice as the... voice.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Google's Self-Driving Car
I would probably still get one anyway... not to use for myself of course, but the next time anyone annoying needs to borrow my car for a bit.
But why would Google install an iPad in their car? Unless it's like an aftermarket conversion thing which runs on android and iOS.

I have to admit this video felt kind of meh to me.

I got to the credits thinking that would be a LOOOONG trip. Then the stinger happened. Apparently I underestimated it.

I'm pretty sure Cam missed his calling as a Decepticon.

I think the cadence sounded like James, but it could have been Cam.
And I really want Graham to answer this question so I can adjust my creepy-stalker-fan level.

Re: NEW VIDEO - Google's Self-Driving Car
The concept of the video seemed right on for me. Loved the set up.
The over all video seemed to miss a little though but I cant say way specifically.

James tends to speak in clumps a bit more-- kinda saying a few words at a time. Cam speaks a little bit more evenly. That and the way the words were pronounced makes it sound like Cam to me.
Not to mention James' voice is a bit higher so it'd be more difficult to get it into that Decepticon tone, whereas Cam's voice plus talking-in-a-can-effect pretty much gets there.
And with that, I think I've officially spent an unhealthy amount of time watching these people.

If Paul is still alive
If James can survive
they may find♫
Ah, not too often I get to make a decent Zager and Evans reference.
Also throwing in that the car voice was pretty clearly Cam to my ears.

Does no one else actually read the credits? Cam's right there in blue and white.

But he was also the pedestrian who was killed, so before confirmation, the argument could be made that he was just there for that.Gamercow wrote:Does no one else actually read the credits? Cam's right there in blue and white.

Re: Google's Self-Driving Car
Yeah, I was gonna comment on how we'd apparently have to wait a half-millennium for The Revolution to ignite...but then, what'd been happening in the intervening time-frame? All we know for sure is that the transportation infrastructure remains intact enough to permit a passenger car to travel from "Victoria, B.C." to Mountain View, California....in the same timeframe (now I'm imagining an 'Incredible Journey' segment where the Google Drive(r) manages to cross a river where the bridge has collapsed) and that some people survive and have firearms...
Okay, no literal LOLs this time, but you made me smile through out.

Re: Google's Self-Driving Car
I was honestly slightly disappointed that the end shot was not 2 bleached skeletons in the back seat.
Also you guys apparently did car shots the hard way, so props for that!

This is listed as July 13 on the main website, but Monday was the 14th. I'm going to put it under July 14 on the On This Day category.
