Re: Rent
Short and sweet. And hilarious. And snappy. And I'm running out of words, so I'll stop now.
Ooh! Ooh! Also coniferous! Yeah. That's a good word.

Re: Rent
Ah, nothing like some quick, witty, dialog to start the day off right.

Re: Rent
So Tim was off paying the rent of the Moonbase? It all makes sense now! and it's now Jer's turn, that's why he is leaving for a while o.o

Re: Rent
The Escapist video player is currently being phail, so I'll have to give my feedback based on the preview picture alone:
This week's video was awesome/average/abysmal [delete as appropriate]. I liked the bit where Tim was in it.

Re: Rent
I have been through equivalent calculations about how much of my time I'm giving up for a certain amount of money. Very depressing. Nice to have a light-hearted take on it, though.

Re: Rent
Interest really is a killer, depending on when he starting paying back. Assuming he has 20 apartments to rent out at a Monday/month each, that would take 3 years to pay off the two years he owes currently.

And that's assuming the interest stays still. It's more likely he'll accrue more interest as he goes. I'd be betting 4-5 years.

Re: Rent
This apartment isn't just special effects, is it? I'd hate to think you're stealing Tim's Mondays by pulling a fast one like you almost did on Andy.
Re: Rent
Mondays sound like an excellent deal. They are usually just a waste of time anyways. It seemed to me that this was a role that would normally go to Matt (the skeptical straight man?) so it's a little ironic that it was Tim instead.
Re: Rent
TIM HAZ RETURNED! Oh and the video was good too. I'd gladly give up the first Monday of every month for a good apartment. It's those Saturdays I don't want to lose.
I fight for TRUTH! JUSTICE! And DONUTS!

I'm pretty sure I have a soul - it's blackened and shriveled up like a decades old prune, but it hurts when I do amoral or immoral things...
...pretty much accurate about the friends bit, though.
ANYWAYS, cool idea, great execution, and I especially like Graham's exasperated mood (and the whole 'I hate bookkeeping' bit - it adds verisimilitude to the whole state of affairs.
I'd dearly love to give up 1 day a month to chip away at my debts; as goat noted, I'm really getting boned by how much of my 'time-equivalence' I've devoting to them...
Thank you for making a miserable, defeated man smile for a couple of minutes.

Re: Rent
Tim! Its a wild Tim, everybody. Oh, and a cracking video.
Maybe its more of a tension and atmosphere kind of video, as opposed to a volley of gags type (then again, I tend to prefer the former anyway), but its still a real corker. Just love the way it simmers and simmers.
Doubt I could hack that payment scheme. My time is more valuable than my money.

Re: Rent
I approve of this video. I approve of Tim's presence in it also. I give it my seal of approval.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
