It's fringe at best. Keep Linux on servers, and nothing else. I'm not saying that Linux users make more mistakes than your average Windows user. They make catastrophic errors, that result in them needing pretty much most of the core components changing...

I run Linux on my PC and I am not stupid enough to run an Intel CPU with out cooling. I think Linux is better for getting work done than Windows. For someone who knows what they are doing Windows is only beats out in games and in hardware support (Most hardware does not ship with Linux divers and utility software).

I had to watch the video to know what you were talking about.

Also, that video is old! Whiteboards are meant to be erased and reused regularly! REGULARLY!

I wonder if you can install Linux on pets to make them do what you want to.
I can't think of a signature.

I've got to say, Paul dose crazy better than any of the other bits I've seen him in. I could very easily seeing him as a coffee-junkie.

Great video guys, I especially loved the "That's what they told Galileo" line.

There is a venus statue on the hearth in the background of the shot when Paul first comes into the living room to install Linux on the Wii. It's the VISFF award for best writing for "How to Talk Like a Pirate."

Linux is a usable desktop OS that is sometimes stable and always virus free. That said, setting it up to do almost anything requires rediculous experiance and/or time. Linux is more of a hobby than it is an OS, but it's still an OS.

Also, for the record I would love to see Vista running on anything but x86 based machines. But they don't.

Windows... I work at a computer service/repair shop so please, don't get me started :P ("Please validate your copy of windows over the internet". I can't because I don't have the network drivers installed. You can't install the network drivers until it's activated. Gah! :P So I need to phone india and explain that I'm building a machine for a customer... x.x </rantOfTheHour> ;))

I actually heard Bill Nye is a pompous ass, which kind of annoys me...I always liked him, and my dad used to be friends with him. :(

Again, much apologies for casting Animate Thread, but the corpse isn't quite cold yet...

I was watching Inst.Anx. again while doing laundry (it's my fave; Way Too Excited and Happy Paul is always a winner), and when I got to the line Johnny commented on, it occurred to me as funny as that was, another retort of Paul's is possible:

Graham: You can't do that to a toilet!
Paul: That's what they told Tycho Brahe, and looked what happened to him for believing them!

Okay...right; with that said, feel free to ignore this and let it drift down off the first page.

I tried to install Linux on my cat but all I could find to plug my keyboard into was a strange looking ps/2 port under its tail, does anyone know where I can get an adapter for a usb keyboard?
