Economic Stimulus

Postby Graham » 15 Jun 2009, 18:50

Featuring both the actings of Andy, and the writings of Kathleen.
Double-hit combo!

It's an allegory, you see.

Yay, Andy indeed. I did for a bit think the lemon-aids was being a bit too disgusting rather than funny but that is probably just because I'm not a youtube kick int eh balls comedy kind of guy. Still a solid video. Really like the Lime-aid ending.

If I came across a sidewalk stand selling limeade, I would buy a cup as a reward for mildly subverting expectations.

I was excited to see Andy on the appearing credits before the video even started. A born entertainer.

Where the hell was it filmed that Kathleen, Paul and Andy could all be in a video together? I was expecting Alex to make a cameo at some point!

The lemon-aids part was on the border between disgusting and funny, but the writing and acting was sharp by all parties. Props all around this week!

It is so awesome to see Andy in another video. And the part where they zoomed on Kathleen when she was giving her bit about Africa was pretty funny.

So he's not thirsty, and yet he wanted limeade. I am amused.

Deliciously, decadently, and devilishly funny. Additional D's have been added in order to celebrate the hearkening of Andy's return to the internet screen.

Quality as always. Comedy at it's deranged, draconian, and dignified best.

That was great. I didn't think the lemon-aids bit was disgusting - it helped to further the allegory by making the product disgusting and it's manufacturing abusive. I also really enjoyed the "grandpersoned in" joke. However, maybe I'm a dullard, but I didn't really get the ending. I mean, having Andy yell "I love limes!" was fun, but I just didn't really get it, especially in terms of an allegory.

Also, I'm not yet decided on whether or not having the line about the government bail-out made the fact that it was an allegory too obvious.

But still, I really liked this one! And good job on Kathleen to keep in character and have a straight (well, more angry) face during her yelling diatribe at the end.

I don't usually like the videos that Kathleen writes/co-writes/whatever, but this one was pretty good. I give it five Bill Murrays out of seven

OH MY GOD. This is quite possibly my new favorite video. Everything about it is great! The triple-hit combo of Kathleen, Andy, and Paul was simply awesome, and I was laughing my ass off from about 1:20 to the end. This was written wonderfully, I loved the lemon-aids bit and how that wasn't just a little gag, it was brought back for about half of Kathleen's argument. Also, Andy's reactions to everything (particularly lemon-aids) were priceless. I also enjoyed how it looked, I'm not really sure why (I think it was just how nice it looked outside), but that caught my attention. The stinger on the end was so funny..."Gimme a triple!" Overall, this video was just wonderful, and is probably my favorite one now. You guys should be proud.

Oh, and I'm also wondering exactly where this was shot that allowed Kathleen, Paul, and Andy to all be together.

Granted the "I love limes" isn't really part of the allegory... but it is funny.
