Re: Any Bronies up in here?
I will most definitely be using Tunnel Bear to watch this as soon as its made available online. At least I can get a couple of episodes in before I have to head back to university!
Re: Any Bronies up in here?

Target has the new MLP toys! Including this set - the mane 6 PLUS Spike! If you can part with $35 USD...
I want a Pinkie launcher.
Re: Any Bronies up in here?
I wish Hasbro would get past the "OMG brush-able hair!" mindset and just make the toys look like the show.

Forget the hair. The base models look nothing like the ponies on the show. It's ridiculous.
And... do little girls actually brush the hair on those things? I mean... there's barely any hair there. Maybe they do... but they could make more than one kind of toy, you know. Seeing as they're sitting on a merchandising goldmine.

After you pointed this out, I compared the Pinkie Pie on the box to the one in the box, and holy heck are you right.

They're still using the molds from the old series, when they were all duck-faced, I'm sure of it.
Goddamnit, Hasbro, get with the times!
Re: Any Bronies up in here?
You forget, the show is meant to sell the toys, not vice versa. Young girls, who do want to brush the hair, are still their main demographic.
They're Hasbro. They have some experience in getting kids to buy toys.

Re: Any Bronies up in here?
Well someone posted images of original ponies that were sold at SDCC geared towards the older audience, but anyone who saw those know they didn't look a thing like the art style of the show.
Still, they had a higher quality design and it's closer to what I think some of us are looking to see them make in the future. Hasbro just needs to be made aware of the demand.

Re: Any Bronies up in here?
Oh, I think they know. I just think they also know that re-tooling their machines is expensive as hell. Especially when you consider that this is still an unproven iteration of the franchise. They've made it through one season and put together a second, but it could easily go belly up still. It appears that a large part of their fanbase is like us: confined to the internet. The masses are fickle.

Just a random thought: It always bothered me that Luna never makes an appearance after the end of the first story arc. You'd think she would be an important character, but it's as if she was fazed out of existence. Has this ever bothered anyone else?

...and not missed.
But I agree with the point about Luna. I think she has more fan pictures on the web than she has seconds of actual screen time.
