The London Super Comic Con - I'm exhibiting!

Postby Jon Lock » 24 Jan 2012, 13:27

Hey guys, it's shameless self-promotion time again!

Are any UK LRR fans planning on heading to the London Super Comic Convention on the 25-26th February? If so, please keep an eye out for me and my comic, Afterlife Inc., as this will be our first show as exhibitors. I'll be waving my starburst LRR shirt as a makeshift banner, so if you spot it, please come over and say hello. It'd be great to meet some folks.

I'm debuting my first trade paperback, the collected edition of Dying to Tell, a series of short stories set within the Afterlife Inc. universe that has been running on my site over the past year.

And, in other news, a brand new Afterlife Inc. series, Near Life, has just begun today. You can read it here for free.

I hope you enjoy, gang. Likewise, I look forward to any potential LRR encounters on the big weekend.

All the best!

Jon

Well February is turning out to be my Month of awesome things and I wasn't doing anything that weekend, might see if I can get to it, Tix are surprisingly reasonable.

They're not bad, are they? This is only the first year they've run, but it's already shaping up to be quite the show. Having Stan Lee around definitely helps. Apparently every ticket is entered into a raffle to meet him one to one.

He's going to be a pretty popular guy that weekend.

Tempted, but my health isn't too great at the moment, and probably can't cope with a trip into London + London Underground + Queues + More Queues... (I walk with a cane, and I can not queue for long periods)

I managed MCM Expo in October on Day-Trips for Friday and Sunday. But I'd probably only want to go to meet people, and perhaps get something signed by Stan Lee. But I'm not really that much into getting things signed, and again Queues... If my health improves, maybe.

Okay gang, the big weekend is but two sleeps away. Afterlife Inc. will be at table C24, peddling its wares. I'll be flying my LRR shirt banner should anyone want to pop over and say hello.

Possibly catch you there!

Did not know anything about this. But being up in the cold wastes of the north. (A rather temperate Scotland, actually) I probably would have struggled to get there and back or afford myself a hotel ):

Hey guys,

Well, we survived. Had the most amazing show. Shifted 94 copies of our 150 stock - a figure which absolutely blows my mind - and was finally able to connect with new fans, one to one. It was stunning just how strongly everyone took to Afterlife Inc. Humbling, in fact.

Was lucky enough to meet some fantastic people - including, of course, the rather awesome Lemegeton (whose true identity I shall carry to the grave... or until he says it's okay to reveal).

United by our twin loves of comics and Loading Ready Run, London's smallest LRR-con poses for the camera with our banner:

From left to right: Lucy (my better half), Lemegeton and myself.

And a slightly blurry photo of the stand itself:

Thanks for stopping by, Lemegeton. Hope you enjoy the book!

who says i gave you my real name. maybe i used an alias ?????

lol it was great to meet you dude. reading your book now, just finished the first story and i think you have the makings of an incredible universe here, the different story possibilities alone are mind boggling.
and we could have easily spent all day talking about LRR. Im trying to hit as many cons as possible this year so im sure we will have another mini LRRcon again.
